We've all been there. We need a dress for a big event — be it a work event, walking a red carpet (in my case), a Christmas party, or even a wedding. However, raise your hand if you absolutely hate buying a dress for one occasion and never wearing it again. I know we have all been in this boat. What if there was a way to look fantastic and save a few dollars! There is, and that is where Rent The Runway steps in.

It is super easy to use Rent The Runway. You find the perfect dress, you tell them your sizing, and you don't even need to clean it before you get back (which is amazing because I'm like a mud/spill magnet). You just drop it (aff) in a UPS dropbox. Everyone wants to know where you got your dress and the secret will be between us.

Now, if you are like me, even with a service like this, you want to save a few bucks. Have no fear – I have a few ways you can do this. First, sign up for their newsletter! I love getting 20% off!!!

Now, if you use Rent The Runway a lot, you know that it can add up. Joining their Stylepass program will save you money, and you have the ability to skip the months you won't be using them.

Another great way to save money on Rent The Runway is to look for hidden promo codes. You may find them right on the site:

Another option for Rent the Runway promo codes is to head to places like Retail Me Not, Brad's Deals, Dealspotr (they are my favorite because their codes actually work and have to be validated to be on the site!), etc.

Let's start with Retail Me Not:

There aren't offering us any one time use codes or anything we can't already get off the site. Let's try Brad's Deals next:

We've had a little better luck with Brad's Deals. That being said, I found the best deals on Dealspotr. I'm much rather get $30 off my first order!

As you can see, they have 2 (aff) amazing deals that I can use! They even have Rent The Runway promo codes:

They've got a little something for everyone — new customers and returning ones! With 5 million coupons and advanced code-finding tools, more pros use Dealspotr to find coupons than any other site! You can subscribe to Rent The Runway for deal updates as they come and earn points for sharing and validating deals! Best of all, you get 5,000 points just for signing up.

Needless to say, as you can see, you can save money for your next big event!

  1. ThFancy dresses can be so expensive. Renting them is a great concept if the savings is there, plus you aren’t keeping a closet full of things you don’t need.

  2. Christy Maurer

That is so awesome that you can rent dresses and have the option of the monthly subscription. I love that there are coupon codes to save even more.

Don’t tell anyone, but back in the day when I got married, I rented my wedding dress. It was a thing back then and I’ve never regretted it at all. These days, I have so many mother-of-the-bride, etc. dresses tucked in my closet that I’ll never wear again. Rent the Runway is such a great service!

Rent the runway can save you a lot of money as well as storage space. It’s also more practical just to rent especially if its for a limited use only.

I love saving money on anything, so I will keep this in mind if I have event that I need to “rent the runway” for 🙂

  6. I just heard about this on the radio the other day. I will definitely have to look into this for my next event.

  7. Sarah Honey

I’ve heard amazing things about Rent the Runway! I’ll have to give it a try for our next event!

  8. Kimberly @ Berly's Kitchen

This sounds like a good deal to me! I’m the worst at buying an expensive dress, wearing it once, and never touching it again. This would be perfect because the dress could be worn and sent back. Awesome!!

I’ve always wanted to try Rent the Runway! Now I can save money! Thanks for this post!

This is such an awesome idea, I love the fact that it really could be a money saver for people who are looking to rent clothes from them often.

  11. Our Family World

I should have found out about this earlier. My niece attended her graduation ball and my sister spent a fortune on her gown. Now, that dress is just hanging in her closet, probably never to be worn again. I will have to remember this next time we have another affair that would need me to wear a formal dress.

  12. Emily

This is such an amazing idea! There have been times I have purchased a dress for a wedding or event but never worn it again, it just sits in my closet. Having something like this as an option is great!

  13. Angelic Sinova

My friend uses Rent The Runway all the time and she loves it! Fancy gowns/dresses can be so pricey so why not save a few bucks and go the rented route? I love that companies like this exist!

  14. Kimberly

I love the fact that you can rent the dresses. I don’t wear dresses very often so when I buy them, I wear them once or twice and then they just sit. It’s such a waste. I love this.

  15. Jenny

Rent the runway sounds great! Look runway fabulous everyday without the runway price!

  16. Diana Lopes

This is really interesting! I got an even coming up, I’m considering using it already..

  17. Kita Bryant

I’ve never heard of this before. Very neat concept. I will have to keep this for future use.

  18. Leigh Anne Borders

This sounds like something cool! I like the idea of renting dresses. There are many times I need a dress for one occasion and this would allow me to have choices on what to wear.

  19. Anosa

The idea of renting a dress I desperately need for the one occasion seems epic to me. Not sure it’s in the U.K. But will check

  20. Sandy N Vyjay

Rent the Runway is such a super service! We have heard of this service and it is sure a great way to save on buying nice looking clothes which could be expensive and difficult to maintain or as you said, you may not wear again. Love this idea!

Rent the runway has always been one of the best ways to get a luxury dress for a fraction of the cost. I also love that they have handy accessories to go along with the dresses on the site (that tape is miraculous!)
