Nothing’s scarier than realizing your camera didn’t quite capture that perfect moment like you thought it had. That's where Portrait Innovations steps in and takes away all the stress that comes with trying to take holiday pictures.
My family and I headed out last Saturday to get our family pictures done. I'll be honest – I tend to forget to do family pictures, but what a perfect time to do it! Heading into the holiday season, I didn't know what to expect when we got there.
The first thing I noticed was that while they were busy, they weren't overwhelmed. Instead, I would call their operation a well oiled machine. Each worker helped each other out (if somebody came in to get their prints, whoever was at the desk grabbed them; if somebody walked in, who ever wasn't doing something ran to the desk to check them in, etc.). It was really impressive to watch. The environment felt relaxed verses stressed out which I think reflects in everyone's pictures.
Kelsey was the manager and our photograph. She was absolutely amazing. She took between 60-80 photos, but seriously, it didn't feel like that. I couldn't believe how fast our sitting went. She dealt with my tween and teen really well too. Will had fallen asleep on the way there and really didn't want to cooperate. Kelsey got both of them out of their shell, and made Will laugh the entire time (by telling him not to laugh which made him laugh harder).
With different studios, they are able to take different photos. You can easily do holiday photos in the “christmas” studio. You even can do a photo with you handing Santa cookies and milk!
They have a second studio that you can take senior pictures or just any other photos you want.
After all your photos are taken, you go over to one of the desks and you get to see all of your photos. Seriously, this is the fun part. They take 3 photos of each post you do. The first thing you do is go through and pick which photo out of each 3 you like the best. This takes care of blinking eyes and silly smiles. Once you've gone through all of that, it's time to start picking your package. There are sooooooooo many package choices. Best of all, I never felt pressured to pick any one of them. Kelsey went through and told me what I got with each one. I loved that you can taylor the pictures to what you need. My mom likes 5×7's so I was easily able to get an 8×10 family picture and a 5×7 for her without getting stuck with a bunch of extras I don't want or need. It definitely most cost efficient to buy a package. Plus, some of the packages give you full rights to the photos. You get a CD with all the photos that you can do whatever you want with. I absolutely love that!

Portrait Innovations has picture taking down to a science. I would definitely return and highly recommend them!
Great family photos! My family recently had a photo shoot at the beach and I’m using one of those pics for our Christmas card. There is 15 of us now with all the grandkids and I try to get a family photo made once a year.
Since most of us aren’t professionals at taking photos this is really great to fix those photos that we other wise wouldn’t use.
These are some fabulous photos. I’ll have to see if we have a Portrait Innovations nearby. We do need some family photos.
These are all great. I love the one with the kids handing Santa milk and cookies. Such a cute idea.
When the twins were born I received a coupon for a photo shoot at Portrait Innovations. Those are still some of my favorite pics. They had so many backgrounds and props and really captured some great shots. Your family pics are really cute. The tough part will be deciding which pics to use for your family Christmas cards.
Those are great family photos. We are big fans of portrait innovations. They always do a great job.
This reminded me of when we were younger and my MOm had us have a family portrait taken around this time of year. Your photos came out great!
What some lovely family photos, I love how you can add your own flair to them after as well that could be so much fun!
Great family photos! I never heard of Portrait Innovations and will have to see if there is one in my area.
In my opinion, portrait innovations take great photos for a reasonable price. I use them quite often. By the way, you have a lovely family.
These family photos were really cute! Portrait Innovations sounds like it was a really good choice.
I LOVE family photos! You have a lovely family 🙂 I love coordinating outfits for photos.
We have to start thinking about our holiday family pictures. It sounds like you found a great place to take wonderful photos.
My son is 31 and I told my husband I want a good family picture made. No formal pics since he graduated high school. Of course so many casual pics are nice too.
These are lovely family portraits. We do ours every month but just with my camera at home or somewhere outdoors.
We need to get some family photos done and I will check out Photo Innovations. I like the backdrops in the photos you posted.
Those turned out super cute. Sounds like it was fun too! I usually have our photographer family member do our photos. 😛
In spite of all the gadgetry now available, nothing can beat the fun of getting a family portrait done. The photos are really very professionally done with the right light effect.
These are great photos!! I love that portrait studios still exist and they look like they take some pretty fabulous photos!!
I will have to find out if we have a Portrait Innovations nearby. The photos really turned out great! I would love to have a real family photo, not like the yearly wacky photos we have. Haha.
