You can gesture and you can say anything else, but you you’ve got to do it fast, because they’ve got to say it before time runs out. Scrabble Catch Phrase is the grab it, guess it, and pass it on word game in one handy portable electronic game unit complete with LED screen, timer, and built-in scorekeeper. It is great to play anywhere and with any one. You can put it on random, or choose your favorite category. It is great for a long road trip (I know this from experience!)
The 5 categories to pick from are: Fun & Games, Entertainment, Everyday Life, The World, and Variety. When trying to get your teammates to guess, you can’t use rhyming, first letters or parts of the word, or the other team gets a point. Once your team has guessed it, you pass the unit off to the other team as quickly as you can. When the buzzer goes off, whoever has the unit loses a point to the other side. Whatever team gets to 7 points first wins.

My thoughts? I love this game. It is one of those games that really make you use your brains and your creativity. It’s hard not to jump around and get competitive playing it. It does say 12 and up, but at almost 9, Madison was able to play it too!
