State Farm Giveaway!

This giveaway is now over.  The winner is Shawna O and Cori Westphal.  Congrats!

Go take a peak outside in your garage. Is it embarrassing? Is it everything you could hope it could be? I’m going to guess it’s not. I know mine isn’t. I think we are even storing mattresses in mine! I’d be embarrassed if any of you wanted to see my garage! State Farm knows our pain and wants to do something about it! (I know, how cool is that?)

If you are in Chicago (like I am), make sure you check out the Chicago Auto Show from February 11 – February 20, 2011, and explore the State Farm Garage! This will inspire car owners everywhere to transform their ordinary, cluttered garage into something that represents who they are and can call their own. At the State Farm Garage, you will also have the opportunity to enter the Garage Makeover Sweepstakes for a chance to win a brand new garage valued at $35,000. (Can you say dream garage?)  The garage will have fun activities for parents and kids – there are games and prizes – and there will also be an athlete appearance.

Now, I can’t do as good as $35,000, but I have arranged for 2 lucky winners to win (one winner wins the gas card, the other the Lowe’s card):

– (1) $50 gas card
– (1) $100 Lowe’s gift card

Excited? I know I am! Here’s what you need to do:

I actually would love to upgrade our carport into a garage.

Thank you for hosting this giveaway

  2. I desperately need some ORGANIZATION!! We move every three (or so) years and stuff accumulates and I don't know what to do with it all. In order to CLEAN I have to PUT IT SOMEWHERE! 😉

  3. I would like to have a garage, LOL! I have a car, but I live in an apartment. I just have a parking space, no garage.

  4. cathy miller / rewca

I'd love to turn our garage into more useful space and put up shelves and racks and tool holders, make it a place where things can be found

  5. With having kids, our garage is very disorganized. What I'd love most is to get some cabinets and baskets and organize our kids toys.
    Thanks so much.

  6. what I would love to change about my garage,,,, being able to get into the garage… there is just so much junk in there….

  7. I would like to figure out how to keep the floor clean! LOL!
We had that stuff put on last year that looks like a "real" floor and now I feel like I have another room to clean!

  8. Oh man, I need to clean mine out and organize it – it's just a terrible dumping ground right now and I can't find the things that actually belong there!

  9. I would just like to HAVE a garage to change. 😉 Right now we only have a carport, so that means that though there's a roof over the cars, the front and the back are open to the elements, and there's really nowhere to store things since they could easily "walk off."

  10. My husband for sure needs more storage room! Luckily he is quite good with cars & mechanical things so we dont have to spend on outside help- storing all his 'stuff' is an issue~

  11. The problem I have with my garage is that it's too small. Even if there was nothing in it, there's barely room for one car in there. I would LOVE to have a garage I could actually park in, especially in the winter!

  12. I need a major organization overhaul and a massive shelfing system oh and the squeaky door thing DEFINITELY! Everytime it opens in the morning It wakes me up.. I'm sure it wakes up the neighbors too. I need an entire new door and pulley system machine thingie whatever its call keke

  13. I would enjoy *having* a garage. 🙂 I'm a renter and I dream about the day I can pull my car in my garage and unload my groceries.

  14. I would like to have a big garage to put our two motorcycles in. I would also like to have fans installed to keep air circulating because we live at the beach and salt air and moisture makes the chrome rust on them. I want to keep them beautiful!

  15. Ooh, great giveaway!

I would love to turn our crowded, cluttered 1-car garage into a 2.5 (or even a 3 so we can still fit our "stuff") garage. Oh, and can we add a room above it? That would be fabulous! =)

  16. There is so much stuff in my garage that we can barely get the cars in there so it would absolutley be organization.I need shelves and some way to store the endless yard tools that hubby "has" to have!

  17. I'd like to get rid of the stuff we don't ever use, then have everything else neatly stacked on shelving and clearly labeled.

  18. My Garage definitely needs some organization, but what I'd really love to do is to remodel it into a recreation room for my boys.

  19. I would love to have multiple storage closets! One for car-related things, one for house-related things, one for outdoor-related things. Maybe then I could keep my sanity. 🙂

We actually need to do a lot of work to convert an outside building into a garage. For starters, we'd need a garage door and a replacement window. Then I'd love to get some of those cool organizational kits that attached to the wall.

  21. we have an old garage door without a door opener for our car. so everytime i want to park in the garage i have to get out of the car, go into the garage and open it from there, get back in the car to drive it in to the garage. just a nusiance and it would be great to get a new garage door.

  22. I would love to have a garage with my trailer but don't have one as of yet

    thanks for the chance

  23. Our garage needs storage! We have stuff siting all over the floor so I would like to add shelving and hooks to hang tools.

  24. My husband wants the garage for a "man cave" I want to put in shelves/cabinets to store mass amounts of food and water considering food prices are about to soar as well as gas prices. I gotta buy yup and save while I can 🙂

  25. I would like the floor to be heated and to be able to control everything from the house (lights, heat, door) 🙂 AND, I would like to build on to the back to have a bit more organized storage.

  26. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A GARAGE TO CHANGE SOMETHING…BUT IF HAD ONE, I WOULD PUT MY CHRISTMAS ITEMS IN IT

  27. Well, we don't have a garage, but oh how we need one! Right now all the things that would be in the garage are in a cupboard in my house or under the tiny space of the house. I would love to get a mini-shed or something to store our tools and car things in.

  28. The brick wall on the right side of my garage is about to collapse so I definitely would love to have it fixed!

  29. One thing I'd like to change is the weather stripping at the bottom of the garage door. They cut it to short when they installed it and it has allowed field mice to get in on occassion, spiders, and also wasps.
I think I could go a better job then that at cutting the stripping the right length.
I'd also love to have paint on the walls in the garage.
I'm sure hubby would love some more guy like things about the garage, but I'd just love some shelving in there.

  30. We use our garage as storage for our start up business so we could definitely use some SHELVES to organize ourselves! 😉

  31. What I would really love to change is to make the Garage insulated, since it brings in much cold air since it is under our home. It keeps our home much colder then a detatched garage. I would also love to have a place for my kids to hang out and play video games , listen to music, and hang out with there friends. Instead of just a place to store items….

  32. I shared the giveaway on facebook…. (shirleypennyevanssmith) I'am sharing this giveaway with you all for your chance to win too!!!!.State Farm Giveaway! | Lisa Review shttp://lisareviews.com/2011/02/08/state-…Go take a peak outside in your garage.
