Once you hit 40, you look at life a little differently. I don't want to say you have a midlife crisis, but you start taking stock of your life and what you want in it. For me, I want to get rid of the stuff in my attic (I want to keep the stuff, I just need another place to store it!). We are looking to do a remodel (well, more like adding a second story where my attic currently is). We currently use the attic for storage and places like StorageMart will suit my family just fine for storing our important items like the kids school papers, my wedding dress, kitchen things I don't have room for in my tiny kitchen, and so much more.
Storage facilities have gotten a bad rap. Did you know that StorageMart prides itself on their low carbon footprint and they often up-cycle former industrial or commercial buildings to repurpose them into self storage facilities? They want to be a great neighbor. Their facilities are clean and safe for everyone to use. They are so easy to rent a storage unit from too – you can do it right from your smartphone. Best of all, they are willing to really help you. Check out this video that shows you how to pack your storage unit:
As somebody who has never used as storage unit before, videos like this are so very helpful. You can learn even more from this great piece Kathy Ireland did on StorageMart. StorageMart can really be there for every change in your life – getting married, moving, construction, and just to store things for you.
StorageMart has over 220 stores over 3 countries. What will you be storing in your local StorageMart?
Many people use storage containers around here where we live. Helps them and helps small businesses.
I think these type of storage units are awesome and I love that this one has a low carbon footprint. I don’t use one at the time but I do need to clean out my attic.
I should probably get a storage unit. Our garage is packed with stuff. I really need to go through it.
I just moved into a new home and I have tons of containers that I need to move into storage. I like the idea of units with a low carbon footprint.
My husband HOPES we get a storage unit one day soon because that would mean we are MOVING – lol! He wants to move out of Los Angeles so badly!
We have a shed and I would someday like to empty it and make it a she-shed of sorts. I could probably store all of the stuff currently in our shed in a Storagemart unit.
I’ve used a storage container for different reasons over the years. They really can be such a useful thing to have access too. Infact I could 100% do with getting another just as extra room to store things as our home is so small.
My husband and I used a storage unit to store a lot of boxes and other items when we first got married. I prioritized a clean, indoor, and safe one to make sure our items being stored there would be safe. Now that we have a home we just store everything in the basement, this seems like a great facility to keep things too!
We used to have a storage unit. We moved into a bigger house eventually and didn’t need it but it was a lifesaver when we lived in a small farmhouse.
We used a storage unit when we moved my mom back home, we had to store her furniture for 6 months, then when she moved back we picked everything back up, it was perfect for us.
Storage units are great! My husband uses one for all his work gear and since we don’t have much of an attic we have lots of things stored.
We needed storage when we decided to downsize and couldn’t find adequate storage in a smaller space. You never know when you will need it!
We do need more storage! We converted our garage which was great but now we have limited storage!
We down-sized to an apartment and had a lot of stuff we didn’t want to throw out, but it had us feeling crammed so we put it in a storage locker instead. Super handy and recommended!
I have thought about getting a storage unit and I love these!! I need to see if they are available in my area!!
I know many people who own business that use storage units to store their gear!
I love the idea of these storage units. I have a friend that just recently had a house fire. Now, where they are living until it is rebuilt doesn’t have enough room for any extra stuff they purchase. I will tell them about this option.
I have to get few storage units as now we are run out space in our home. This storagemart sounds like great one.
OH yes! We used a storage facility when we moved and it was a huge lifesaver! We used it for only a month when we staged our house and it was worth every penny! Love vertical stacking!
