Team Umizoomi Preschool Math Kit Giveaway!

This giveaway is now over. The winner is Steph. Congrats!

With summer half over already, I like to keep the brain drain from happening (even with Will even though he’s only in preschool).  That is why I was happy to try out the Team UmiZoomi Preschool Math Kit!  These are offered exclusively at Toy R Us stores this month (and at Nockelodean’s site online) and they offer a hands on way for preschoolers to experience math.  Since math isn’t my strong suit, I need all the help I can get (even if it’s only preschool math!).  These kits cover the nine areas of math preschoolers need to know before starting kindergarden:  numbers, counting, patterns, shapes, measuring, positioning, sorting, classification, and reasoning.  There are also three episodes that are included that help reinforce what the kids are doing:  Playground Heroes, Carnival, and Aquarium Fix it.

The Team Umizoomi Math Kits include:

  • 48 page workbook that provides for practice and repetition
  • 24 page storybook that invites kids on an Umizoomi math adventure
  • 24 Mighty Math Mission cards- they are basically flashcards with math based challenges on them
  • 48 page activity book that reinforces math kills through simple games and activities
  • Team Umizoomi episode on DVD
  • Umizoomi pencils and eraser (Will’s favorite!)
My thoughts were that this is perfectly geared for the preschooler.  There are so many different things that you can do with this kit that you kids will never find it boring.  I liked how we could pick and choose what to do and everything was fun.  Will loved it!  The mission cards are great for the car.  There is also no set way to get through this kit, so take your time and enjoy.
Since Will loved this kit so much, I’ve arranged for one lucky reader to get one of their own!  Here’s what you need to do:
Tell me what part of the Umizoomi Preschool Math Kit will your little one enjoy the most.  Is the DVD?  The Mission Cards?  The Activity book?
