The grass is always greener. . .

when you cannot figure out how to grow some. We need some serious advice here.

The problem: We have a huge patch in our backyard that needs grass. Last year, we pulled out a swing set and the area it was in (it had really old disgusting wood chips). We decided to make it grass. It looked great and then all the grass died. Fast forward to now — we have already tried reseeding. It still looks really patching and well crappy. If I can sneak outside without Madison, I'll see if I can get a picture, so you can see how bad it looks.

What is the trick to growing grass?
