Sammy must do what newborn sea turtles do — race across the beach to the ocean before a seagull or crab captures them. That is how Sammy journey begins. A Turtle’s Tale: Sammy’s Adventures is about the 50 year voyage that Sammy takes. We get to see how he meets his best friend Ray and how he overcomes many different obstacles. We also learn about the love of his life. I love that this movie is based on the real life trajectory of a sea turtles. It also has an all star cast: Melanie Griffith, Kathy Griffin, Tim Curry, Anthony Anderson, and Stacy Keach.
A Turtle’s Tale: Sammy’s Adventures is one of those movies you just can’t watch enough times (or at least, that’s what my kids tell me!). It definitely tells a great story about protecting the earth besides Sammy’s journey. I also love that they touch on the themes of friendship and caring.
