Update on my weekend

Well, guess where I spent last evening? Five points to the person who guessed in the hospital. No worries — no baby. I tripped and fell yesterday on my stomach and had to go get checked out. While I was there, I started into my preterm labor contractions. They hooked me up to an IV and gave me drugs all night to stop them. I got to leave this morning with 2 prescriptions. One for antibiotics for an UTI that they think I have brewing and another for a pill to stop contractions. My body is killing me today. Ohhh, and I had another ultrasound. This time they said 50/50 on whether I am having a girl or a boy. The umbilical cord was in the way!!!

I have to call the doctor the first thing in the morning to see if they want me to come in. At least till I talk to the doctor tomorrow, I am on bed rest. I also am not allowed to drive. Of course, I have about 100 things to do this week, so this should be interesting.

  1. Unfortunately, I am use to this. With Madison, I ended up in the hospital 6 times with preterm labor. This is only my second trip (no pun intended. lol) Ideally, they want me to make it till 36 weeks which is another 2 weeks.

  2. I have to say that I am glad nothing is wrong with you or your baby. I am sure that you are very excited and it must be a great experience for you (with some side-effects of course). How did you get that icon of the baby in the womb. That is so cool.

  3. Oh, Lisa, I'm so sorry–Pain and worry, not a fun evening for you I'm sure! 2 more weeks–wow, that isn't long at all! Yes, 6 weeks total–but 2 weeks–that is so exciting! Good luck–and take it easy!! Happy thoughts and hugs!

  4. I am super glad to hear that everything is okay. That is always something I worry about with my lady because she sometimes blacksout. But no falls yet. Keep the site updated on what the doctor says.

  5. Now, I just have got to get the hubby to get the crib up. We were suppose to get that done this weekend and last weekend, and it is still up in the attic. LOL

  6. That is so scarry! This baby just does not want you to find out if he or she is a boy or a girl! I hope all goes well for the rest of your pregnancy!

  7. Glad to hear nothing is wrong. My wife is due about 18 days after you btw. 🙂 Luckily we live in a time where early births are fairly common, and not too much of a concern. Score one for modern medicine 🙂
