This New Year cleaning resolution tips post is brought to you by Mr. Clean as part of a Type-A Parent Community Sponsored Post.
We all make resolutions every year. Let's make some we can actually keep! I've come up with a few resolutions I plan on trying this year with Mr. Clean (and yes, that's me with Mr. Clean.):
- Clean as you go. If you let things sit, well they just keep on being left there! Instead, take a small amount of Mr. Clean directly to your sponge or surface and rinse with water. You no longer will have to worry about stuff being stuck to your table or counters when we clean as you go.
- Say no to clutter! Have an organizational system so that you aren't constantly putting things down and leaving them. Everything needs a place.
- Double or triple up! Have a set of cleaning supplies on each level of your house. Then you don't have the excuse that the Mr. Clean wasn't on that level and you were too lazy to run upstairs (or downstairs).
- Get everybody to help! Mr. Clean is so easy to use that everybody can add it to their cleaning routine (including your kids!) You either just apply directly OR if you are mopping with it, you add one squeeze per gallon of water.
- Fill the world with kindness. Okay, this resolution isn't for your house. However, you can very easily buy cleaning supplies and donate them to a worthy cause. You've got your local animal shelters to poor families in your area. You may even have somebody you know who needs a hand-up who you could put together a little gift basket for and put a smile on their face. I believe in being good stewards for our community, and I like to pass along my good fortune to others when I can.
I totally love Mr. Clean. I smell it and I automatically know that everything is, well, clean. What are your cleaning resolutions for 2014?
