VeggieTales The Penniless Princess

VeggieTales: The Penniless Princess – God’s Little Girl will be available at Christian retail stores August 11th and everywhere August 14th, 2012. In this Veggie-version of the children’s book A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Larry the Cucumber stars as Captain Crew and helps to teach an important lesson about knowing your own true worth to his young daughter, Sarah, even if only through his spirit.

Sweet Sarah has everything a little girl could want. But when life takes a turn and she goes from riches to rags, will she realize that her true worth lies not in what she has, but what she has in her heart?

If you are a VeggieTales fan, this movie does not disappoint.  It’s engaging story will keep your kids interested.  You’ll laugh, you’ll cry (okay, maybe your kids will get a little teary eyed).  I love the lesson that it teaches — it is what is inside that counts.  Like all the other VeggieTales movies we own, this was a hit in my house and has already been watched about 100 times.  I recommend getting it!
