Virtual Baby Shower: My Very Own Name Review and Giveaway

This contest is now closed. The winner is felicia k. Congrats!

my-very-own-nameOne of my favorite books that I know I will be passing onto my new nephew is called My Very Own Name. This is customized book for your kids. The animals throughout the story spell out the name you give them (first and last name too if you want!).  The story is written in rhyme, and definitely will grab the attention of any little one reading it.  When you child gets older and is learning to read (like my 5 year old Madison), they think it is the coolest thing ever that one of their books has their name in it.  It also helps with letter recognition too.  The great thing is that the illustrations in this book are so good that you can easily make up your own story instead of the one that is printed.  The attention to detail is amazing.  Another cool feature is the little guide in the back of the book.  It lists about 61 animals and a cool fun fact about each.

If you have a little one in your life (here already or about to be born), this is a gift they won’t be getting from anyone else.  The age range on this book is 0 – 8 years old, so it is the perfect customizable gift!

Now, I have arranged for one of my lucky readers to get one of these customized books.  Here’s what you need to do:

  1. I collect elephants so I would love to see the elephant holding up the letters of my granddaughter's name.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  2. I actually like the owl. It has such an adorable face!
The book is beautiful, even if I don't win, I will definitely refer back to it when I need a gift for a little one. Thank you!

  3. This is such an adorable book! I've added a tweet to twitter for this. I could see my grand-niece Sophia loving the bunny rabbit. Thanks for all the wonderful articles in your blog.

  4. I think the monkey for "M" is cute and the "S" for skunk is cute. Of course maybe it's because those are two of the letters I need!!

  5. How about the Hyena…my grandson sort of got into hyena's as the bad guys from the Lion King movie. He could use a 'good' hyena.
