Vtech MobiGo Touch Learning System Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is now over. The winner is Nicole Greene! Congrats!

I have to admit that up till now, we've never owned a Vtech product.  I had no idea on what we were missing out on!  I am beyond impressed with the Vtech MobiGo Touch Learning System we got to try out.  This innovative handheld gaming system offers a variety of fun with its touch-screen technology that brings new fun and learning experiences to kids.  The MobiGo Touch Learning System is for ages 3 (aff) to 8 years.  The touch screen allows you to tap, flick, pat and drag & drop (kids learn with fun on the same technology as parents do with their touch-screen devices).  This was perfect for Will (who just turned 3 (aff) on Monday).  Controllers seem to be too hard for him.  However, he had absolutely no problem with the MobiGo.  Actually, we often hear him singing “I won” while playing (you can thank his sister for that).  Even though it is basic enough for Will, Madison plays with the MobiGo also (she is 6).  They actually fight over it (if you can believe that!).  MobiGo teaches a wide range of skills including math, vocabulary, spelling, logic and categorization. The MobiGo comes with one cartridge called the “Touch & Learn Game Pack.” which is actually six games.  It even has a QWERTY keyboard (aff).  Additional games and content will be available for download so kids can customize their MobiGo with the latest innovative games and continue the learning and fun for years to come.  Initially, there will be 11 licensed title game cartridges (more will be added in the near future):  Ben 10, Disney/Pixar’s Cars, Disney Fairies, Disney Princesses, Dora the Explorer, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mr. Men & Little Miss, NASCAR, Shrek, Super Hero Squad, and Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3.

MobiGo will be available exclusively at Toys R Us stores and online beginning June 7th.  We are considering getting a second one of these, so my kids quit fighting!  The graphics are so much better than any other kids handheld system I've seen!  The fact that both kids can play with this is a huge plus in my book!  It also shuts itself off if not being used.  We've used it everywhere from on the couch, to the toilet (for some potty training help!), and even Denny's!  This will be a must have in the car for our next car trip to Green Bay!

Since we loved this so much, I've arranged for one lucky winner to get one too!  Here's what you need to do:

  10. I think the touch screen would be the most attractive part to my 3-year-old. She loves playing with her father's iPhone, and I think that would totally make her feel very grown-up…

  11. I am mostly excited that it's a Vtech, and that there are no controllers involved! Great giveaway!

  12. The touch screen and the keyboard would be my favorite. It is perfect for my granddaughter. She loves poking things and seeing what happens.

  13. I know my daughter would love the keyboard. She loves playing on my little laptop and she would feel like a big kid.

  14. I love Vtech products- I am excited to know that this is age appropriate for my 3 year old. Thanks.

  15. I love that it has logic games and a lot of games that would keep my son's attention. Thanks for the chance.

  16. I love the age range for the educational games, as well as the touch screen.

  17. The touch screen excites me because it would be my granddaughter's favorite feature. She can't help it, when she sees something interesting on my computer screen she just reaches out and touches it!

  18. I like the fact that it seems pretty rugged. I get frustrated at toys that aren't made to stand up to use by small people. Thanks for the giveaway.

  19. I like that the MobiGo has a full Qwerty keyboard. That's a great way to introduce children to the keyboards they will be using when they are a little older. Thank you for the chance to win.

  20. I really love the touch screen. My son like to play with my iTouch so I think he would really like this feature.

  21. My favorite feature is the downloadable content.

Thank you so much for the giveaway.

  24. Besides all the neat games that come for it, I enjoy that it has a QWERTY keyboard – I thought that was interesting!

  28. I like how the VTech MobiGo can be used by a wide age range. We have a 3 and 6 year old grandchildren who would enjoy the MobiGo. The 3 year old would think he was so grown-up when he used the MobiGo. My 6 year old granddaughter could improve her spelling, math and logic skills and have fun at the same time.

  29. I love that the MobiGo has a touchscreen as my toddler is accustomed to that through playing with my iphone. I also like that there is a full keyboard for when he's writing to type letters. Thanks for the chance to win!
