Why I Use Young Living Essential Oils

As you all know if you read this blog, we all have our own issues in my house.  One of the things I did a year ago (and I don’t think I ever really wrote about it) is get rid of as many chemicals in our house as possible.  Essential oils have been used for hundreds of years, so my thought was that it has to be better than filling our air with things that are potential making us ill. 

I am not one of those tin-foil hat people.  Many of you long time readers can attest to that.  It isn’t something I took lightly either.  However, my family’s health is of the utmost importance to me.  I’ll be the first to tell you that essential oils may not work for you.  I’ll be the first to tell you that yes, you still need to go to the doctor for some things.  I get asked all the time if I am still on thyroid meds.  Oh heck yes I am!  Essential oils are a support for me.  They are something to help with everything else I am doing.  That being said, they are not going to replace my daily dose of thyroid meds I’ll be on for the rest of my life.  Essential oils are good — but they aren’t going to replace the part of the thyroid that my body decided to destroy.  They aren’t the cure all for everything.  That being said — they sure do work for what I want them too!

I choose Young Living for many reasons.  However, mostly it was their Seed To Seal guarantee.

Their oils are first distillation.  You aren’t getting oils that are 3rd, 4th, or 10th distillation and less effective.  They also have their own farms (in the regions where the plants should be grown) and can guarantee that no pesticides or herbicides were used in the growing of any of their oils (they use essential oils for pest control and they do all of the weeding by hand).

Does signing up obligate me to sell Young Living?

Absolutely not!  When you become a wholesale member, you get a link t0 share with your friends and family to get credit from their purchases.  However, you don’t have any requirements for monthly sales. 

Am I required to make a minimum purchase each month?

No.  To remain a wholesale member, you have to make $50 worth of purchases per year to keep your membership.  If you forget, you can reinstate your wholesale membership discount by just placing a $50 order.

That being said, if you are ordering every month, Young Living Essential Oils has a rewards program called Essential Rewards.  What’s is awesome about it is that for every Essential Rewards you place, you make a percentage back in product credit each month on all of your purchases.  

Does Young Living only sell essential oils?

No.  They also have an entire line of personal care products, supplements, meal replacements, energy drinks, and more!  Their products incorporate essential oils, but there’s a wide variety of products available.  I use the household cleaner, the detergent, the produce cleaner, etc.  There are just so many products to pick from besides just the essential oils!
