It is that time of year that we totally need a fun winter scrub. This Winter Bliss Body Scrub is exactly what we all need this time of year! Best of all, this is super easy to make! (And makes a great party gift bag to giveaway for kids for a tween/teenage birthday party. I had the girls make their own takeaway gift!)
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Sea Salt
- 1/3 Almond Oil
- Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
- Lavender Essential Oils
- Tea Tree Oil
- 1 Drop Blue Food Coloring
Directions:
In a medium size bowl mix together sea salt, almond oil and apple cider vinegar until well mixed.
Add 15 drops of Tea Tree and 20 drops of Lavender essential oils.
Take half your mixture and put it into another bowl.
Add a drop or two of blue dye into one of the portions until you reach the color of snowflake blue you would like
In Mason jar, alternate blue and white layers of scrub to create a snowy effect. Press scrub mixture down with a spoon to compact between layers.
Attach a cute snowflake label to your jar and you have a great DIY gift anyone will be sure to love!
This looks easy to make and all I need to go purchase is almond oil. Love that you can change the color.
That is adorable! I think that will definitely be on my DIY gift list for next year!
This is a cute idea. This would have been perfect for the holidays. I will remix this idea for Mother’s Day.
I love a good sugar scrub especially in the dry winter months! I definitely want to try this out! I wish I had seen it sooner, it would have made such a cute gift!
All the best for the new year,

This sounds wonderful, exactly what my skin needs this time of year. Plus, it’s so pretty – love it as a gift idea!
I love making scrubs! I’m always on the lookout for new combinations to try, and this one sounds heavenly.
Aside from being a scrub, this has a really nice presentation. This can also be a great gift.
It’s such a cute gift idea! I will put it on my list of gift giveaways for Christmas next year:)
What a great sounding scrub! I also love the color scheme, it is perfect for Chanukah, blue and white are the colors of the Israeli flag!
I love making my own body scrubs like this. The blue and white is perfect for any last minute winter gifts or just as a treat to pamper yourself.
I wouldn’t mind trying this out. I could use a day of pampering to relax and take care of my skin!
I love a good body scrub!! This one sounds yummy!!
Body scrubs are something I have not made yet but will have to make this one for sure. It sounds like it would be relaxing. This winter bliss body scrub sounds like a great gift idea too. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
I think this would make a great welcome back to school gift for the teachers after a relaxing winter break. It really looks beautiful and probably smells great too.
What a cute and thoughtful gift for someone this winter. I think this is such a great way to say “Happy New Year” and encourage people to take some much needed time to themselves!
Yes for a good body scrub! With the year 2016 coming to a close, I want to scrub all the bad stuff in my body and ring in the new year with a fresh healthy skin!
Oooo this Scrub sounds pretty fabulous!!! My skin definitely needs a good scrub this time of year due to the nonstop blasting of the heat
This is such a cute idea! I have sensitive skin and salt scrubs irritate it. Is the salt portion easily replaceable with sugar?
Love this! I need to make some new body scrub; I am all out.
This sounds amazing! I love body scrubs and need to try this one – it looks so soothing and great for your skin!
Thank you so much I need this right about now!
This is so cute! I am definitely going to need to try it! Is there any substitution for sea salt? That can get kind of expensive where I am. Anyway, I found you through the Foodie Friday linkup and it would be great if you could check me out! My link is the “Jungle Smoothie” #4.
ooh. Lavender and tea tree oil, that sounds amazing. I need to try this. Thanks for sharing
1/3 what measure almond oil?
I will admit that I have never made my own body scrub and looking at this one I will give it a try. Thanks!
I am new to this site and have never seen apple cider vinegar in a scrub. What does it do, how much is needed for the recipe and does it have to be organic and why?
This sounds great for super dry hands. Thanks for the recipe! Thank you for sharing on Merry Monday! Pinned Have a great week!
