Madison has been begging for earrings since she was in kindergarden. I told her she had to wait until she made her First Communion. Well, guess what — this year she makes her first communion. I let her get them a little early (her communion isn't until May) in case we have an issues with them (which we haven't so far).

She did well and is taking care of ears all by herself! (We did the little small red birthstone earrings).

I couldn´t wait as a little girl to get my first ear rings either!
She's very forunate. My daughter also wanted them, I wanted her to wait, My sister preempted and gave her a gift certificate. Unfortunately she had nothing but problems and painful infections for years after even with pure gold and medical care, and eventually had to quit wearing them altogether ( by choice) as an adult.
She's one brave kid, that's for sure! I don't think I'd have had her guts. (Then again, I probably wouldn't have wanted my ears pierced!) Have a happy WW.
Beautiful!! Getting earrings is a very important thing in a girls life! I will never forget how proud I was when I got mine 🙂 Hugs from Anette in Norway 🙂

My oldest daughter just got her first earrings last year, and she was only 27.
Cool.. I'm wondering how my little girl will take to wearing earings in the future.

Congrats to Madison. Now she'll have to get lots of cool earrings. 🙂
