10 AM- INDEPENDENCE DAY – 95TH STREET PARADE
The 6th Annual Fourth of July Parade is a true celebration of community spirit and family fun. With its hometown flair, this beloved tradition stands out as a unique highlight of the holiday. Featuring more than 100 entries (from military color guards and local dignitaries to lively mascots, antique cars, and parade units of all ages) the event promises excitement for everyone. The parade kicks off at 10:00 a.m. and will travel westbound along the north side of 95th Street, beginning at 51st Avenue and continuing to 55th Court.
11AM – 3PM – STAR SPANGLED 4TH FAMILY FESTIVAL
Enjoy a full day of old-fashioned holiday fun with family and friends at Centennial Park (93rd & Nashville)! Festivities include:
- 3-on-3 basketball
- Treasure hunt
- Bingo
- Obstacle course
- Hockey activities
- Tot games & crafts
- Classic games
- Giant inflatable slide
- Kids’ tattoos
- Free play area
- Pony rides

7:30PM – 8PM – FREE EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
Head over to Richards High School (106th & Central Ave.) for an evening of live entertainment you won’t want to miss. The night kicks off with a performance by Dave Rudolf at 8:15 p.m.
DUSK – FABULOUS FIREWORKS SHOW
The perfect ending to a fun-filled day is none other than a spectacular fireworks show! Sponsored by the Village of Oak Lawn and the Oak Lawn Park District, this grand finale is an event you won’t want to miss.
General seating will be available in the bleachers at Richards High School football stadium, with VIP seating offered on the field. Can’t make it to Richards? Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show from the open field at South Side Baptist School (5220 W. 105th Street). Sit back, relax, and take in the dazzling display!
