You don't have to spend an arm and a leg on your treat bags this year. Make these really cute Jack-o-lantern Treat Baskets instead!
Here's what you need:
- orange construction paper
- green construction paper
- yellow construction paper
- scissors
- glue stick
- hot glue gun
- black permanent marker
- green shredded paper
- Burpee Seed Starting Fiber Pots (3″ square)
- treats!
Step 1. On the orange paper, draw out a jack-o-lantern for the front of your treat baskets. They can be approximately 1 1/4 inches across and up to 2 inches tall.
TIP: Draw them out with a pencil first in case you make a mistake and then go over them with black marker.
Step 2. Cut out the Jack- o-Lanterns and glue them to the green paper.
Step 3. cut around each one leaving a little bit of green trim around the edges.
Step 4. Use the glue stick to attach those to the yellow paper, then cut out leaving a thin border of yellow around the edges.
Step 5. Use a glue gun to secure the faces on the fronts of the baskets.
Step 6. From the yellow and orange paper, cut strips that are 11 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. These are optional to line the inside of the baskets.
Step 7. Wrap the yellow strips of paper around the inside of each basket and secure at the ends with hot glue.
Step 8. Add shredded paper and treats!
