As a blogger, I occasionally get invited to some pretty amazing events. Recently, I had the chance to tour Mrs. Prindables. One word: YUM!
Seriously though, this was the first time they’ve ever done a tour, and I have to say, it was one of the best I’ve been on. Seeing the level of hard work and detail in making these apples was fascinating. Here, an apple is so much more than just an apple.
One of the first things I learned is that Mrs. Prindables has their own line of apples (and fun fact: there was never an actual Mrs. Prindable). They also make the famous Affy Tapple apples, which are huge in Chicago. I’m not sure if Affy Tapple is as popular outside of the area, but we did a fundraiser with them for Madison’s school this year. We got to see both types of apples being made. The main difference? Mrs. Prindable apples are handmade, so they have a higher price tag. They also use much larger apples for Mrs. Prindables, making them extra special.
It was such an eye-opening experience! As a bonus, we were sent home with caramel and a triple-dipped chocolate apple to try. It was absolutely to die for—so rich and delicious. Honestly, if you’re looking for a unique, indulgent gift for someone special (or yourself), Mrs. Prindables is a perfect choice.
