i love beautyA cute game that Madison and I recently tried on the the Nintendo DS is I Love Beauty.  I’ll be honest – I can’t see this as any boy’s cup of tea.  It really wouldn’t be.  However, for girls Madison’s age and older, they will definitely will like this.  This game is all about giving Hollywood starlets makeovers.  There are 36 different cosmetics for you to choose and combine.  You are also asked to change their makeup and accessories depending on where they are going.  The famous stars then get to vote on how you are doing:  Perfect, Very Good, Good, or even Totally Bad!  There is a contest mode that you can test yourself in three different styling competitions.  There are also 13 different make-up and hair styling games too.

Madison definitely enjoyed this game.  She’s watched me put on makeup and always wants some for herself.  This is a great way to channel that energy.  I have to admit some of her choices were interesting, but she was having fun so that’s all that matters, right?

    My daughter would absolutely love this because she’s a real girly girl. She’s fascinated with clothes and makeup and accessories. I think she gets it from my sisters because I’ve always been the tomboy in the family.

    As silly as it sounds, I'd like it for me! LOL I love to play makeover madness over on pogo, and this game looks like fun when were are dying of boredom waiting for appointments, etc, 🙂

    I have a terminal illness that limits my physical interaction with my god-daughter but this game is something we could do together for a substantial period of time that would not bore her. (She is a little fashion maven and has great opinions.)
