Sid the Science Kid and Dive Olly Dive Review and Giveaway

We recently had the opportunity to review the 2 new Sid the Science Kid DVDs: The Bug Club and Change Happens and also Dive Olly Dive: Ship Shape Sub. If your kids aren't interested in science before they watch these DVDs, they will be after!

51aG-ahz1iL._SL160_Change Happens is the first DVD we watch. Sid and his friends discuss why things change when exposed to time, temperature, and the environment. There are five episodes on this DVD which include Change Happens, My Mushy Banana, My Shrinking Shoes, My Ice Pops, and The Perfect Pancake. Since my kids love bananas, I have to say that they liked My Mushy Banana the best. That and watching food decay is a kids delight. Seriously. What I though was kinda gross, they thought was cool. I did really enjoy that the explained what was going on in terms that my kids could actually understand. It was also nice, because Madison is the questioning type. This DVD answered a lot of her questions.

The second DVD we checked out is The Bug Club. 843501003770 Sid The Bug Club DVDThe songs are catchy and cute on here. The parents also truly take an interest in Sid's curiosity. Madison is seriously into bugs, so she really like this DVD. The episodes on this DVD include: The Bug Club (Madison's personal favorite), Hello Doggie, Home Tweet Home, The Dirt on Dirt, and Don't forget the leaves. Hello Doggie was also a cute episode, in my opinion, because it really showed my kids how dogs (and actually all animals for that matter) communicate with us using body language, sounds, and barking.

Dive Olly Dive Ship Shape Sub DVDDive Olly Dive is cartoon we've watched several time before, so we happily watched Ship Shape Sub. This DVD has the episodes: Haunted Ship Prank, Less is More, Navigation Consternation, Follow that Lobster, and Don’t Tell Beth. I really like this series because it teaches my kids about helpfulness, respect, cooperation, honesty, listening to others, and not judging a book by its cover. Heading into kindergarten in less than two weeks, those are all things we need to work on. The stories really keep your kids attention and bright colors were something Will really liked.
