The First Communion Invitation Search

Can you call believe it? In less than a month, Will will make his first communion.

I know, what a handsome young fellow. I’d have to agree. However, something I’ve learned over the years is that boys are often not treated equal. There are never any cute boy clothes or shoes. If there is, there no where near the same amount. It is something that has driven me absolutely crazy over the years. I know that any of you who have boys can totally agree with this.

When it came time to do a search for our invites for Will’s First Communion, I tried to find invites in the store that were nice, non generic, and boy. Needless to say, we totally failed on that front. I went to my next favorite source — Tiny Prints. They have never done me wrong — I get my business cards and Christmas cards from them. Needless to say, I was amazed at Tiny Print’s First Communion Invitation selection!

It’s the little things in life that make me happy. The fact that I can get a non-pink first communion invitation has made me extremely excited! I loved that I actually had so many choices and that I had to make Bill decide because I had too many great choices to pick from! Seriously, that never happens! I was even able to get some matching Thank You Cards which was a winner for me too! I just wanted a classic invitation where I could list the church and the party on there. If it grabbed your attention, it was even better. Tiny Prints more than delivered! The best part is that I have mailed these invitations out already and have gotten a few compliments (and a few people people wanted to know where I ordered them from! FTW!)

What do you look for in a First Communion invitation? Have you ordered from Tiny Prints before? How do you think our first communion invitations turned out?

  1. Awe, he is too adorable! I hope that the communion goes well and that everyone saves the beautiful invites to remember the day.

  2. I don’t have kids. I’m also not Catholic, so I’ve never had to send Communion cards before. I’ve also never used this company for any invitations, but I think I will next time. Those cards looked great.

  3. Tiny Prints looks awesome! Back in the day when my son had his first communion, we had to buy cards from a stationery store. This is SO much more awesome.

  4. Those invitations came out looking pretty good and Will looks really great in his suit. You’re right though so there are so many more options out there for girls than boys.

  5. I love your First Communion invites! They came out really well, I have been looking for a good place to get Christmas cards that we can send out this year. Going to check out Tiny Prints.

  6. What great invites! I always find that Tiny Prints has everything I need – and so many choices too! I always order our holiday cards from them, and just love looking at all they have to offer!

  7. I love Tiny Prints and I have ordered from them before. I have 4 grandsons so I know the pain of trying to find dress clothes for them. There will be 100 racks of beautiful dresses and one rack of picked-over boys clothing. 🙂

  8. I never considered it but you are quite right- communion is not usual associated with young boys- but should be! It’s great you were able to get an invitation that really captured the event without looking generic.

  9. OMG your son is too cute in that suit. We don’t do Communion but would love to get invites for son’s band banquet. Off to see what they offer.

  10. Tiny Prints have some great invitations. They look so nice! I usually just print mine out on the computer. I would definitely get some of these for very special occasions.

  11. I’ll have to agree how much it’s a trying experience to find cute clothing for boys, especially when my son was a baby. He is now 9, and I believe that boys clothing has come a long, long way since then. As for Tiny Prints, that is the only company I will order from when it comes to cards.

  12. Aww, that’s sweet. The first holy communion is an important event. The invitation looks nice and elegant. And, your little boy looks so handsome!

  13. He looks so handsome. Our son is having his first communion as well in May. My husband’s family is not Catholic so we are the only ones coming for the celebration so no need for invitation. Those however, are beautiful invitation for your son’s.

  14. Will looks so handsome in his suit! This is such an important time of his life. So nice that you got such great invitations. I am never very good at getting invitations out and it looks like Tiny Prints does a great job!

  15. The invitation you got is beautiful, I really like the blue colour. Your little guy is so handsome in his little suit 🙂

  16. I love Tiny Prints because they carry an assortment of contemporary cards, rather than just the traditional ones! I love the First Communion card you created. I didn’t make one for my daughter, but I made her a photo book of the experience.

  17. He is so adorable and who ever had their first communion know it is a huge day. I love the invitations which I think his are just perfect. Awesome job picking them indeed. I will have to check out for my son’s graduation invites which I am totally running out of time on . They grow up to fast. Thanks for sharing.

  18. Aww your son is so handsome and I love the clothes. I totally agree (I have 3 boys) and it seems like no matter what it is, clothes, gifts, you name it there is so much offered for girls but nadda for the boys.
