Is there true love like in the movie Frozen? Do you have true love in your life?
If you can believe it, Bill and I have been together since 1996. Yes, that makes us together 18 years this month! We’ve actually hit the point where I have known him as long as I’ve lived my life without him. We have been married 13 years this year in June.
A question I get a lot is how we met since Bill is from Illinois, and I am from Wisconsin. Well, Bill’s college had a ratio of 8 guys to 1 girl. (Let me add that Bill went to school in Wisconsin. However, his school was 2 hours away from where I lived.) I was friends with people he went to school with and would bring carfuls of girls to their college for the weekend. Bill was the person who you’d have watch out for you so you didn’t hook up with some jerk. He’s the nice guy you never date.
The weekend Bill and I got together. We all went to a party that Friday night, and I made a date with a guy for the following evening. However, I got stood up the following night. Bill felt bad for me (because on top of getting stood up, I also had a wicked case of bronchitis). We stayed up all night talking, and I remember thinking “why I didn’t hook with him?”
Well, needless to say we’ve been together since then. 18 years and 2 kids later, that’s my true love story!
When you spend the first 4 years of your relationship in two different states, if that’s not true love, I’m not sure what is! Aww, what a wonderful story! I love love stories… how can one not? I met my hubby quite by accident, he was traveling through Canada with a friend, and got off the bus in the wrong town. We met a couple of days later, and have been together since 🙂

What a great story! My husband and I have been together 11 yrs. How did we meet? We were neighbors. We both went through a split with our significant others, and I started babysitting his boys (who he got custody of). Eleven years later we are still together! I think I need to use the Shutterfly deal to get some of those ‘memories’ saved!
That is great that you have been together for 18 years. My husband and I have been together since 2001 but were boyfriend and girlfriend when were were teenagers too. I have known him for 23 years!

Fate stepped in for me as well. I met my husband right after he was dumped… by a friend of mine. I had no clue who he was… but when I found out I tried to get them back together. She got frustrated and told me if he was so great then I should date him. He asked me out that night. We’ve been together 27 years now!

What a great love story! My husband and I have been together since high school We celebrated the “we’ve been together longer than we’ve been apart” milestone a couple years ago, with awe. I just don’t know where the time has gone.
As to the coupons, since we love to travel, I’d have to say if I were to use one it would probably be 15% off a hotel at Orbitz.

Congrats on 18 years! My husband and I have been together since 1991. We were set up on a blind date by my step-dad and his dad. I’d never gone on a blind date before, but I trusted that my step-dad would be looking out for me. Boy was I right. My husband and I have pretty much been together from that night Feb. 3, 1991 (yes, 23 years ago today). Although our wedding anniversary is Feb. 23, 2002. 🙂

Awww…what a sweet story. My husband and I went to school together from 1st grade on. We were in the same circle of friends and we all went out on December break when we came home from college that first year. He was SUPER persistent and we started dating shortly after…and we’ve been together for 10 years since. 🙂
