Raise your hand if you are a parent. Okay, I know that I am not the only one who has told my kids to do their best. To try their best. To be the best person they can be, because what really matters in life is what’s on the inside. It doesn’t matter if your exterior is drop dead gorgeous if your inside is ugly and useless. Sometimes us adults need to be reminded of this. We too are bombarded with images that make us forget what really is important in life.
Think about peanuts. If you look a peanut shell, what do you think about? Do you find it pretty? I would think most people would say no. However, the inside of a peanut is yummy goodness. I love to eat peanuts myself (and they have always worked well in my diet!). Did you know that peanuts have 6 essential nutrients? I know I didn’t! I just knew that a handful of peanuts usually makes my stomach stop growling when I need a snack. Listen to what Mr. Peanut has to say about what’s on the inside:
Science doesn’t lie because it’s made of facts. That fact is peanuts are successful because on the inside, they provide us with things are body needs like niacin (which we need for skin health). If you don’t take care of the inside, the outside will eventually fail.
Who knew how powerful peanuts really are? What traits do you have that makes you successful in life? Do you believe what’s on the inside determines your success?

love peanuts, my daughter is so fussy about eating meat so I give her peanuts which provide the protein she needs!
Peanuts and nut butters are a big help to me when I’m pregnant since I always end up with gestational diabetes. I eat them a lot now because I’ve learned how well they help balance my blood sugars!
Totally love peanuts in many many ways! One of my favorites is in stir frys.. surprisingly tasty! I am dedicated and loyal… I think those are traits that makes me successful!
I really enjoy peanuts but you gotta be careful with the salted ones…talk about a sodium overload 🙂
I’m a big believer in your character determining your success. I’m also a big fan of peanuts, so this post was so great to read!
There is a lot to what’s on the inside but I believe a balance of what’s on the inside and how you interact with others will determine how successful you are.
Attitude is everything in my book. It directs you into positive tasks. Peanuts are great to me in any way!
Who knew!!! We love peanuts in this household. Always a great snack and source of protein.
We are a big peanut eating family. Definitely it’s what’s on the inside. It’s also about being confident in yourself.

As a vegetarian, I rely on high protein alternatives to meat to stay healthy. I always have almonds and peanuts in my pantry! 🙂
I love your peanut analogy; I think we all need to explore the inside of ourselves more instead of worrying so much about the outside.
I definitely think what is on the inside helps make us a success. And I love peanuts too, even if they are not pretty. 🙂
We all love nuts of any kind. They are so good for you in so many ways!
I’m hypoglycemic so peanuts are a staple in my diet!

I believe a lot of things contribute to success but the inside definitely is a big part.
I do believe it is what’s on the inside that really counts and is most important!
Totally believe that what’s on the inside counts.. I always worked hard, came to this country 15 years ago, didn’t know how to speak or write the language and I never gave up.. I’m now a mom of 3 with a full time job at a law firm and a blog on the side.. work hard and never give up and you will be a success to yourself and for your family
I’m glad none of us in my family have nut allergies and we can enjoy peanuts!
And of course what’s inside counts the most…outer appearances really mean nothing and fade with time anyway.
When I look at a peanut shell, I think it is one of the weirdest looking things ever!
I rely on nuts like peanuts to feed my picky, non-meat eater. Thank goodness he loves them!
