By now, your baby probably weighs almost 4 pounds and is almost 17 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. She has tiny toenails now, and her fingernails have grown in, too. Some babies have a head of hair already; others have only peach fuzz.

Monday, April 30th, 2007Update to my church post
Sunday, April 29th, 2007Well, I am not real impressed. We sat in the kids room. This didn’t make sense to me. The singers were miked, and we could hear them clearly. The priest was not. I could not hear his sermon at all. I didn’t go to church for an hour (well, we left during communion since there was no containing Madison anymore at that point, so it was more like 40 minutes) to not even hear the priest. I was pretty disappointed.
Granted, I know we were in the kids room, but why don’t other parents make their kids sit during mass. It makes it increasing difficult to make my kid mind when yours are running around like wild animals.
Next Sunday, we try a different church.
Activities
Sunday, April 29th, 2007Madison and Bill have a new game. She has decided that she wants to be the Bears (as in Chicago Bears), and she wants to tackle her daddy. It is the most bizarre thing you will ever see. Remember, he is 6′2″ and a big guy. She is a little over 3 feet and the scrawniest thing you will ever see. I swear this kid needs boxing equipment. You may all laugh when I say that, but you know what I mean.
She also has come up with a really interesting game of baseball. She stands like she has a bat in her hand and pretends to hit an imaginary ball. Then she yells “Yeah! I hit it!” and pretends to run the bases (the bases thing only happens sometimes). I swear if I could just have about an eighth of the energy she has I would be in heaven. We were talking about picking her up a T-ball stand, and it is looking like she will need it. It is the end of April, and she already wants to play football and baseball.
Church
Sunday, April 29th, 2007I am sitting here trying to figure out when I need to wake Madison and Bill up for church. We are trying out a new church this morning. We really need to join a church here, so we can get the new baby baptized. Instead of just joining anywhere, I want to go to the church Bill picked out and make sure that I liked it. Hence, why we are going to church this morning. I hope I like it. We really need to get a date set and most churches have you waiting 2 months.
Park District Classes
Friday, April 27th, 2007I just got the Park District Book for the Summer. This book lists all the classes and activities that the park district is offering for summer 2007. I have to say I am disappointed for my choices. First of all, there is not much. Secondly, all these classes start at the beginning of June. With me being due at the end of June, I cannot see spending money on classes when Madison might end up missing a ton of classes. I do not plan on driving her to class right after I have the baby and finding someone else to do it is a pain. Also, any of the classes I can sign her up for, she will need to do by herself. Timing wise, I do not think this may be a good idea. The baby will probably be enough change for her.
