By now, your baby probably weighs almost 4 pounds and is almost 17 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. She has tiny toenails now, and her fingernails have grown in, too. Some babies have a head of hair already; others have only peach fuzz.

I have a lot of people to thank today for helping me make little changes to my blog that you may not have noticed.

First, Suni helped me make my header clickable. What that means is that you can click on my title up there and go to the main page.

Next, I was trying to add a favicon. That’s the little picture next to my title on the tab for your browser. Before, it was an ugly little box. With some help from Tina, Marissa, Charlotte, and Teresa, I got it to work!!!

Thanks guys! This is why I love PPP, so much. We are all out to help one another.

Bill and his friends just had his monthly poker party at Tony’s house (that is one of his friends). For those of you who do not know how this works with them, I will explain. Every month or so, Bill and his friends take a poker party. They take turns for who holds it at their house. As host, you supply the beer and usually they order pizza. Bill lost the most ever Friday night and that was $25. Not bad for a game that started at 7 pm, and they quit playing around 3 in the morning. I would much rather have them doing that than sitting in a bar any time. Plus, he is easier to get a hold of if I need anything.

Since these guys have started this, I have learned more about poker equipment than I ever wanted to know. Some of these guys have some awesome setups. Even though their games are usually poker related, they do include some other games too (including ones they make up!). Bill has gotten involved in the poker equipment too. Last Christmas, I had my mom get his a really nice poker chip set. I think he was happily surprised.

I do know that this would come in handy: They currently have a hard time keeping the different denominations of chips separate. I think these guys would also be interested in the game of the month club. I do not have to normally buy Christmas or birthday gifts for these guys, but I do know their significant others. I will have to tell them about this.

When a guest books a party, give her a complete Hostess Packet!

Three weeks before show

- Thank her again for hosting a show
- Let her know exactly when you’ll be mailing her invitations
- Answer any questions or concerns
- Let her know when you will contact her again

Two weeks before show

- Let her know that you’ve sent her invitations
- Send the hostess a few extra invitations to pass out. Include an extra note with some additional coaching tips
- Answer any questions or concerns
- Let her know when you will contact her again

Three days before show

- Share your enthusiasm for the success of her show
- Remind her one final time to call or send reminder e-mails to her guests
- Check on attendance and outside orders
- Ask about any advance bookings
- Suggest again that she keeps refreshments simple
- Answer any questions or concerns
- Get directions and confirm your time of arrival

Two weeks after the Hostess receives her jewelry

- Call and make sure that everything is okay and that she is enjoying her new jewelry
- Arrange to make any problems or concerns she may have to rest
- You want her to be a repeat Hostess. Keep her happy!!!

I have been trying to come up with ways to solve my insomnia. A lot of it comes from not being able to get comfortable when I am in bed (and being 8 months pregnant does not help matters!). I wonder if a change of bedding would be in store for me. I already have decided that I need to get a body pillow. Now, I have to talk Bill into some of these Down Bedding Sales. We had a down comforter at one of the hotels we stayed at for a wedding, and I have wanted one since. Also, since it is on sale, I would be saving us money!!!!
