About Me

Posted by Lisa on February 7, 2007 @ 11:16 am

Lisa Martin is a native of Wisconsin but now resides in the Chicago area with her husband and two children ages 5 and 2. She is a work-at-home mom who uses her skills and talents for freelance jobs. At any given time, she’s usually tied-up with three or four projects in addition to her full-time blogging.

Lisa started blogging in April of 2006, as a means of keeping in touch with long-distance family and friends. After experiencing some personal issues in July of the same year, she learned she could help others with her experiences…through blogging. Lisa now discusses all of life’s issues while managing her four blog: My Thoughts, Ideas, and Ramblings; Lisa Reviews; Lisa Cooking; and Lisa’s Travels.

Lisa has participated in several exclusive media projects, including the Sony Mommy Bloggers Event in April of 2008, the Pampers Mommy Bloggers Event, the Epson Event in Chicago, the Stouffers Event in April 2009, a yacht ride with Lands End in July 2009, and 1-800-Baskets in October 2009. In addition to these personal appearances, Lisa’s blog has also been quoted in The New York Times and she has been interviewed by the Southtown Star, The Chicago Sun Times, and inside. She also spoke on the doterati panel Blog Marketing Demystified in October 2009. In 2010, she was invited to a blogger exclusive Mrs. Prindable’s tour and was also invited to The International Housewares Show.

Hey sweetie. I know you’re having a hard time right now. Hope you and your family are weathering your loss okay. When you get back and are up to it i tagged you on my site for a meme. Wanted to give you some extra exposure. I didn’t realize you were ‘gone’ since I’d seen you on the boards. I’m sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear about your loss, still life goes on. My mum is 55 this year, and I believe when your kids grow up to as old as I am, you will feel how amazing it is throughout the whole procedure. :)

  8. I keep seeing you on PPP and you have been cool about Stumbling. Although our politics are vastly different, we have a lot in common.

    My DD is 4.
    My DS is 11 months.

I also had a miscarriage (ectopic) in April 2003.

    And my name is Lisa.

I am going to add you to my small link list on my site.

Hi Lisa, I zipped over to your blog to check it out after you helped me out with my “where’s the link to Tweets” quandary. We met when you spoke at the Doterati panel Blog Marketing Demystified before IZEAFest.

I read your blog on the BlogHer conference and sounds like it was quite differenct from IZEAFest. I like the idea of learning sessions. would have been very helpful for a newbie (to PPP, Social Spark, etc.) like me. I really learned a lot from listening to some people I met there. But still have that sinking feeling that I only know the highlights of a topic that I need to understand in depts.

Anyway, I wanted to say thanks again for helping me out with the “where’s the Tweet link” quandary.

No problem! Always feel free to ask other bloggers questions. To be honest, I thought Izeafest was 100 times better than BlogHer. However, I’ve been doing this for 3 years, so I’ve moved beyond the beginner stage which is what I felt BlogHer was more catering too.

Feel free to email me any time you have a question. I’ve used all the Izea programs as both an advertiser and as a blogger, so feel free to ask away. :)
