#NSNation Update – Week 15

So  a weird thing happened on the way to Madison’s First Communion this weekend.  I had a stressful long week.  I skipped Zumba, so I could get my house ready.  I didn’t even mow the lawn to help Bill out (he did it himself!).  I ate some “real” food instead of all Nutrisystem food.  I was terrified of weighing in this morning.

That all being said, since I paid good money for the stuff I had at the party, I did indulge.  Some of my most favorite foods were served.  I stuck to my Nutrisystem plan for breakfast and lunch.  Supper, and my extra smartfuels and powerfuels were used for dinner and snacking.  I just chose to make smart choices.

With that all said and done, I was a little worried.  I shouldn’t have been!  Instead of gaining (which was my fear), I ended up with a fairly big weight loss this week!  We are looking at 2.8 lbs!!!  It just goes to show you that real life can get in the way, and you can still lose weight.  As always, this coming up weekend, we’ll be heading to Green Bay for another party.  I will just have to use everything I’ve learned to this point and again, make smart choices about what I am putting into my mouth.

I can barely believe that a 40 lb weight loss is right around the corner.  I could seriously accomplish that by the end of this month!  When I started this, I didn’t know if I could actually do this.  I’m amazed at what I have accomplished so far, and I thank you all for joining me in this journey.  You have all kept me both accountable and motivated!

THIS WEEKS WEIGHT LOSS: 2.8
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS:  36.6

#NSNation Update: Week 4

I meant to post this on Monday, but you all know how real life gets in the way. I got sick. Will got sick. Madison’s has a better social life than me. You all know how that is.

That being said, we went to a birthday party this weekend for Bill’s niece (that would make her my niece too LOL). My SIL’s mom told me that I looked like I lost weight. Let me tell you — that was music to my ears. I needed to hear that. This is the first time in my life that I actually need other people to reenforce what I’m doing. I’m glad I’ve got friends who are willing to listen to me talk about my weight journey all the time! icon smile #NSNation Update: Week 4 I also had a lot of people ask me questions about Nutrisystem — how the food is, how Nutrisystem works, etc.

Being busy and sick, I am afraid I won’t be doing as well next week for my weigh in. However, here are my stats from Monday:

THIS WEEKS WEIGHT LOSS: 2.6
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS: 15.6

Slowly but surely!

 #NSNation Update: Week 4

#NSNation Update – Week 1

I’ve been on Nutrisystem for about a week. I’ve had good days — I’ve had bad days but I stuck it out (even when my kids got McDonalds and popcorn and cotton candy). Now, I lost almost 4 lbs from the time I ordered my Nutrisytem food to when I actually got the food and got to start the system. So I lost 4 pounds without even trying! (If it could only we that easy all the time!!) Now, from last Monday to this Monday (while eating the Nutrisystem food), I have managed to lose an additional 4.2 pounds! Not bad for a week.

I should be happy about that. However, I know that this is a long process and that I won’t lose that much this week. I’m figuring most of that is just water weight. Things I need to do better this coming week is to add exercise to my routine and drink a lot more water.

The #1 question I have gotten this week from people wondering about my journey is how is the food. Honestly, it is pretty good. That really surprised me. I thought I’d hate the protein shake. It’s not too bad (a tad rich). I have learned that my stomach does not understand correct portion sizing though. In the past, I would have eaten 2 of the meals as one meal, so my stomach has a learning curve too. LOL

The other really hard part of Nutrisystem is that I still have to cook for the rest of my family. It is sometimes hard to watch them eat something you love. That being said, there is a lot of the Nutrisytem Food that you can match. For example, my kids and husband ate hamburgers the other night. There is a hamburger meal for you. On Friday night, the kids had pizza. Nutrisytem actually has several pizzas you can pick from (which is good because I love pizza).

So how do you think I’m doing on Nutrisystem?

TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS SO FAR: 8.2 lbs.
