Continued from the Amazing Adventures At Blogworld That Make For Memorable Encounters
After Mark Cuban's concluding speech at the BlogWorld Expo, I returned to my hotel to stow away my belongings, including an extra bag of complimentary goodies. A cluster of fellow bloggers had orchestrated a gathering at the Bellagio, affording me a short interval to catch the monorail and reach the designated spot. We assembled for a collective snapshot and engaged in some wagering. Colleen's consistent triumphs at every slot machine she tried were remarkable—she seemed to possess an enviable stroke of luck.
While we were out, it felt like I had a rock in my shoe. Except I knew that I didn't have a rock in my shoe. I was beyond annoyed at this point. Finally, I decided to look and made the disheartening discovery of a blister on my foot with no supplies to deal with it. (It seems like I get blisters every time I go to Las Vegas, no matter what shoes I wear!) The shoes I had on I've owned for over ten years. Obviously, it's time to get rid of them and get new ones. You don't have to tell me twice to go shopping!
After leaving the Bellagio, we continued to the Paris casino and then went to the Imperial Palace. Although all of these locations seem quite close (a frequent optical trick in Las Vegas), we soon realized that the distances were far more significant than we had initially thought. It makes you want to repeatedly ask, “Are we there yet?” until you actually get there. Then you need to sit down and take a break before you can do anything!
Unfortunately, my streak of unfavorable gambling luck persisted, prompting me to call it a night prematurely. With the conclusion of the BlogWorld Expo, my attention shifted to the forthcoming PostieCon event!
