The Couponizer Review and Giveaway!

This giveaway is now over. The winner is dddiva. Congrats!

With TLC's new couponing show and with the economy still not picking up, using coupons has definitely taken on a life of its own. I know I was one of those who used coupons but not always religiously (and Bill would never use them even when I sent him to the store with it). I live in a place where most stores do NOT take Internet coupons and nobody doubles them. To save money, you have to use budgeting software. Needless to say, I'm not going to get $1,000 worth of groceries for $.10 like some of these professionals can do. I'm also not willing to drive to 3 stores to get everything I need with gas being almost $5 a gallon here in Chicago. With all that being said, I do like a sale and a bargain when I see one which is why I was excited to try out The Couponizer.

The Couponizer‘s system is designed to solve all the challenges associated with using coupons. If you are beginner, their system will get you started quickly, easily and start saving you real money on your first trip to the grocery store! If you are seasoned couponer and have a HUGE coupon inventory, no need to abandon your long term storage solution — you can use this to enhance what you already have.

Each Couponizer system comes with:

  • The Couponizer booklet – measures 8″ tall, 6″ wide, 1″ deep (before coupons), 18 pockets for grocery coupons, 6 pockets for other coupons such as Restaurants, Retail, Rewards, 2 shopping pockets (Coupons to be used this shopping trip & Checkout), 3 loyalty card card sleeves, metal spiral bind, elastic closure strap, durable plastic covers.
  • 1 Shopping List pad – 20 tear off sheets/cardboard backing
  • 1 CoupTracker pad – 15 tear off sheets/cardboard backing for record spending and savings by store
  • 1 CoupStacker – pre-sorting mat used to organize coupons according to pocket when clipping
  • 1 Carrying Bag – clear zippered vinyl bag
  • 1 pair of scissors

I've done two shopping trips with this — one was a full shopping trip and the second was a 20 minute trip between taking Madison and Will to school. My first trip I was able to save $92 (I paid $242). My second trip I saved $1 (I paid $42). How did I find The Couponizer helpful? First, I wasn't searching my entire house looking for my coupons. I'm really good cutting out the coupons — knowing where I put them is another story. The Couponizer has allowed me some organization with that. It also makes finding my coupons a whole lot easier with the categories it has. I love using their shopping lists. I've started bringing along a highlighter, so I can mark off what I've already found in the store. This is a great gift for Spring brides, new Mommies, Mother's Day or any other special spring occasion – or just a necessary tool for any serious saver!

Since I like my Couponizer so much, I've arranged for one of my lucky readers to get one of their own! Here's what you need to do:
