Breakfast can be BORING (say that in your best tween voice). However, Kellogg’s and Great Starts have teamed together to make breakfast fun again for both kids and adults! (You can see all the tips here: Kelloggs.com/GreatStartsTips) This fun Fortune Cookie helps you pick out which cereal to eat for breakfast and which exercise you should do for the day.
All you have to do is click and download this template. Just print it out then and cut! Once folded, you just choose how many spoons you want, then select a cereal, and then one of the athletes of Team Kellogg’s will give you a quick warm-up to do! It’s that easy and fun.
I’m a firm believer in starting good habits when your kids are young. Having your kids do 10 squats or 8 leg lifts is a great way to work in exercise every day. I have heard that it takes 21 days to create a habit, so I find nothing wrong with working with your kids to create a fitness habit. A habit like this should be a lifelong one! The fact that it is fun makes it all the better. Your kids want to do this every day. This Fortune Cookie allows you to join in the fun too! We all can enjoy some corn flakes after doing our 10 jumping jacks! I know that at our house, we have had a ton of fun with this game! It is one of the few times I don’t mind that my kids are playing with their food! I have to admit that one of the hardest ones to do was to spin in a circle 20 times. I don’t know how the ice skaters do it!
Fun, exercise, and Kellogg’s cereals make a great team! How do you make eating fun? How do you make exercising fun? Will you be printing out the Fortune Cookie for your house too?
Kellogg’s® believes that From Great Starts Come Great Things®. So we’re helping Moms start every day with a tip from the top athletes of Team Kellogg’s™ and Team USA dietitians. The paper craft is super adorable!!
I can’t say I’ve ever incorporated eating and exercise, but it does make sense. I think this could be fun for the kids.
I love the idea of getting up and moving! So glad Kellogs is encouraging it with their fun game 🙂
The fortune cookie is fantastic.
@Kelloggs_US neat idea! I like having fun with my food!
This is a perfect way to incorporate an exercise routine with kids (and adults)!
@Kelloggs_US Getting off on the right foot with a good breakfast is the key to my day!
@Kelloggs_US we love having fun with our food!
@Kelloggs_US my kids will have fun with this
@Kelloggs_US my kids will have fun with this
I miss breakfast sometimes, but am trying to change that. Love Kelloggs
I remember making those paper toys as a kid 🙂
Exercise and breakfast are two essential routines we must incorporate into our daily lives. So glad Kelloggs is encouraging it!
I love the origami activity finder!
What a fun way to incorporate a bit of exercise into the day.
Those little toys are so much fun, the best part of having cereal in the morning!
My kids love these fortune cookie tellers. What a great way to keep them active!
If using a fortune cookie is what it takes to get kids moving then by all means, it’s perfect! Anything to encourage them to move and eat healthy is great.
I love cereal. So does my whole family. My kids never needed any encouragement to eat their cereal. In fact they often have cereal for snacks also.
I love this infograph! I’m gonna print it out now! I didn’t know that spinning 20 times could be considered exercise for a whole day! lol! cool!
Breakfast is the hot favorite meal in our home and most often than not, the kids are begging for it to be cereal!
My kids love playing with their food so this would be awesome for them. The jumping jacks would sure help my sons get some exercise as well. We’re big frosted flakes fans here. Just saw the pic. There’s always a box in our house. I probably love it more than they do. Thanks for sharing.
We love mixing things up to make indoor exercise fun!
I am instilling great food habits in my kids when they are young. They eat three complete meals with to snacks per day and are growing just fine according to the charts.
Starting good habits at a young age is important!! Eating breakfast and exercising are two great habits to instill!!
I wonder how putting the two side by side though is a good thing? It could make kids think they cant eat UNLESS they exercise?
The fortune cookie is a great idea. I may incorporate that here.
Oh you have no idea how many #Greatstarts my 4 kid’s and I have had for the past 25 yrs @Kelloggs_US @mochadad – we still do! TY
i loved making those cootie catcher fortune tellers as a kid!
Love the activity! We love Kelloggs!
Oh that looks fun! I’ll have to print it out. Me and my girls do ‘races’… who can do crunches the longest. Or who can do push-up’s the longest. “Last man standing” is the winner.
Oh heck, even I want to make that fortune cookie and have some fun with food and fitness! Cute ideas!
I used to love Frosted Flakes. You’re right about kids loving to have fun. I think we will play games a lot in my house as my kids get older where they are exercising and don’t even know it. This will be apart from the sports that they will probably want to get into 🙂
what a great way to make breakfast more fun! I love cereal for breakfast, there are so many great choices out there and Kellog is my favorite brand!
that is SO cute, my kids would get a kick out of this – thanks for sharing!
We dance a lot. My daughter loves to “practice ballet” too.
I like the idea of this printable. I am always encouraging my kids to make sure they get their bellies full in the morning.
This is such a fun idea! I love playing a game to find out what to eat and what exercise to do. It makes all of it just a little more fun.
