There is potential in all of us. No matter what you achieve in life, you start in the same place as everyone else: as a kid full of potential and big dreams. At the end of the day, we are all “just a kid” from somewhere. My athletes play soccer. Our soccer season is just starting here in Chicago.
How do I support their athletic dreams? I set them up to succeed. I get them the gear they need to have to play. Without the right gear and the right foods/drinks, they won't be able to do their best (which is all we ask). For us, it is most important that my athletes have fun than if their team wins (it also helps that my athletes are younger too). I even coached my sons team last year and our emphasis was fun.
With the right motivation, our athletes can be the next Michael Jordan or David Beckham, or they can just be the best they can be.
POWERADE believes that with the right motivation the athletes in your life can realize their potential and one day be the athletes that they look up to. Every athlete was a small athlete once upon a time that needed their village to support them!
That's why I am excited to tell you about the great deal Walmart has. How do you support your athletes dreams?
I spend the summer, the entire summer, at the dojo while my oldest practiced and tested for his blackbelt.
I support my kids’ athletic dreams by being the resident sports Uber driver for my kids and their friends. I am literally a sport taxi.
We try something new each season so he can find what he loves to do. Right now is is karate and basketball.
Our six year old is playing baseball and soccer this year! He is so excited do baseball again and to try soccer for the first time!!
That is a great deal I need to take advantage of. I support my kids by taxiing them everywhere while he’s bowling or golfing or whereever his new sport takes him.
My boys are just starting to get into sports and it is really exciting. Right now they are all about soccer and swimming and I am so proud of them!
When I was a teacher I coached my daughters cheerleading squad and numerous fundraisers. Now I always try to support the neighborhood children when they are selling something to support their recreational activities at school .
I am into sports and I feel sad that none of my kids liked sports. I am banking on my granddaughters, though. They are still very young, but they seem interested in sports.
I am the mama taxi for all of their sports activities. I am hoping my son is able to land a spot on the soccer team in High School. It will bring back a huge flood of memories for me. I played from 7th grade until a few months after I graduated. Then I played indoor for a while too. I played for about 3 years until my back hurt too much to play.
I love POWERade. 🙂
It’s great to encourage our children to be athletic. It develops a lot of aspects in their lives. Thank you!
I have kids who love to play basketball. I make sure they have the necessary equipment for them to play.
One of my sons is playing football and I do make sure he has everything he needs. Plus, all the photos I could take! lol
Powerade is purchased weekly in this household. My kids are always on the go and being so hot here in Florida, it’s a go to drink.
I think I do, it’s a little tough to support 3 kids at the same time, but it’s something my kids know I will always support them doing no matter the cost.
I let my girls do whatever sports they’d like to. My youngest has a ton of fun with soccer. When she’s old enough she wants to join soccer. I think it’s going to be great for her.
My Son wanted to be a Basketball player when he was younger. We encouraged him to play on teams at school and get a ton of practice.
Great post! My son is only 10 months old, but I am looking forward to him playing sports. We make our own sports drinks though!
There are so many different sports and athletic groups out there! It’s great to see kids active and playing sports! Thank you for sharing!
That’s a great promo that Powerade is running…I like their drinks. I support my nephew’s athletic goals by practicing his moves with him in the backyard.
I still have a toddler so I guess she doesn’t have any ‘sport’ yet. But I support her with the outdoor games she likes. Even the rough one for the boys. I give her sports drink sometimes too because I don’t want to get her dehydrated after a long play out in the sun. I’d love to avail of that Powerade sale! 😛
My son is not quite there yet but has shown some interest in soccer. I will let him and my daughters play whatever they would like if they express desire in it.
My son has Autism so for him wrestling has become a outlet and also a place where he can socialize with peers. Powerade is the main sports drink in our house.
