The Most Important Meal of the Day

Do you run your car on empty? I am going to guess that you all answered no to that question. That being said, I have noticed a trend in a lot of the comments I've gotten with this Kellogg's campaign. A lot of you tell me a whole lot of excuses of why you can't eat breakfast. However, you would never run your car an empy, so why are you doing that to your body?

An observation that I have made about myself is that if I don't eat breakfast I have a hard time getting done what I need done. I feel lethargic. Eating a good breakfast like Kellogg's allows me to think about the task at hand instead of a grumbling stomach or thinking about what I should be eating later. That is why Tip #28 is such a good tip. It really tells you why you shouldn't be skipping breakfast.

One of the rules in my house is that we eat breakfast. This was a rule my own mother had. There is no way to get out of this. It holds true during the week and the weekends. We always have breakfast. I always have a full pantry of Kellogg's cereal, so my kids always have a choice for what they want to eat. Like me, I want to set my kids up for having a good day. I want them concentrating on their studies and not their growling bellies. My kids just got their report cards last week and got all A's and B's, so I'm doing something right!

If you still don't have time for breakfast, just get up 15 minutes earlier. My kids can eat breakfast in less than 15 minutes (well, most mornings they can!), so take those 15 minutes to refuel yourself. If you need a prompt to reminder you to eat breakfast, take the box of cereal out and place it where you will see it in the morning.

How do you recharge for the day ahead? What do you eat for breakfast?
