Math Made Easy With Mathnasium

disclosure

If you know me, I will be the first to tell you that I stink at math. I always have.

That being said, I wish Mathnasium was around when I was a kid. Mathnasium is a math-only learning center with 44 locations in the Chicagoland region. Mathnasium builds confidence in children in a fun and rewarding environment. No one is dumb in math there. They teach your kids in a way that they don't get frustrated. Theyknow that any child can be successful in math—it’s a matter of teaching it in a way that makes sense to them. Mathnasium’s experienced math instructors utilize their proprietary teaching curriculum and techniques,The Mathnasium Method™, to deliver a customized learning plan designed to address student’s individual needs. Their instructional approach goes beyond traditional math tutoring to develop understanding and build a long-term love for math. Your kids learn why they doing things instead of being told to just do it.

I think this is an amazing concept. I recently visited the center in Naperville. We have reached the point that I can't help them with their math homework and Bill isn't always around to help. With the Evergreen Park location close to me, I am definitely looking into signing them here. If you can learn to love (or even just like) math at a young age, it's good. What they are learning now are the building blocks to much more difficult math in high school. If they don't' have a good grasp of concepts, it is going to be a struggle all the way through!

When the kids come in, they each have their own math binder. Their either work on worksheets in there or they can have their instructor help them with their math homework. There are 3-4 kids assigned to each instructor. Also, different locations have different monthly activities that go on. They take kids from K – college too!

Since I think we should all use them, I have arranged for my readers to get $50 off their first month with Mathnasium!

Mathnasium sounds like a great thing, something I wish was around when I was a child. I just didn’t ‘get’ maths and to this day I still hate everything to do with numbers because I found it so hard.

I am a big fan in individualizing learning for each student. Everyone learns differently and it good to start catering towards that.
