Do kids mind getting little toys and trinkets instead of candy? This sounds like a totally awesome idea to me, but I don’t wanna be that “lame guy who didn’t give us candy”!
I actually really appreciate when people give non-candy treats. My youngest has a dairy allergy so pretty much anything with chocolate is out for her, so it leads to some disappointment.
These are great ideas! We set out candy and non-candy items each year so this is super helpful!
I’m all for Halloween treats that aren’t sugary sweets. My boy would love some of these things, the glow sticks would probably be a big hit!
This is a great idea! We don’t have our own kids yet, but my husband suggested passing out things rather than candy. I didn’t know if the kids would be upset!
I never thought about offering a non-candy option to Halloween trick-or-treaters. Definitely some good alternatives you listed here.
I’ve actually given away glow-in-the-dark bracelets before (along with candy) and the kids loved them. I’m all for kids getting Halloween treats other than candy. They will get way too much candy as it is. Great list.
Wow, these are such great ideas! I love handing out little toys to the kids! Thanks for compiling this list!
These are awesome my nephew has a nut allergy so I always try to include a non candy in our halloween goodies :). That way he can still get in on the fun
These are all really great! I love the idea of non-candy treats. My kids hate them when they get non-candy treats in their bags, but I think all of these are great!
I wish I had time to order those! I don’t even think we will be home for Halloween!
These are some great suggestions. My son’s school is going to a candy free halloween, and I had no idea what to send. Hopefully I can order them now and get them before his party.
I love the idea of an alternative to candy for Halloween. These are perfect options to give out and share!
I like the sticky hands because I used to play with that when I was a kid. The crayons looks cool too.
What awesome and frugal ideas! I can’t believe some of these items are only pennies!
I wish more people would forego the candy and give out other things that couldn’t poison my child. Luckily, we live in a pretty rural neighborhood and I trust 99% of my neighbors, but you never know.
That’s crazy that some schools aren’t allowing candy anymore! These are great alternatives : )
I think this is a great idea. We always get so overloaded with candy. The glow in the dark bracelets are my favorite. My kids will play with these for hours!
Although I definitely preferred getting candy as a kid I do like the idea of giving out non-candy gifts (especially at school.) My mom’s a teacher and they aren’t allowed to give kids candy anymore so during their Halloween party the kids get little Halloween Pencil Top Erasers or small school supplies. I think it’s cute <3
