Seeing Clearly With AC Lens and Picklez

For those who don't know, all 4 of us in my house wear glasses. I got mine in 7th grade, Bill got his as an adult, and both my kids have had theirs since they were three. Needless to say, we spend a lot of money on glasses every year. Will has broken more pairs than I'd like to admit. We have vision insurance, but it does not include multiple pairs. We actually can only get frames every two years! Unfortunately, eight year old boys don't understand that.

Seeing Clearly With AC Lens and Picklez

This is why I was excited to hear about AC Lens. Recently launched on February 22nd, the new line from AC Lens offers kid’s glasses that are affordable, stylish and durable. Available in 11 on-trend styles and 36 vibrant colors, Picklez glasses are geared towards kids ages 6-12 and are all available at the affordable price point of $49.00 per pair.

2016-03-13 13.04.18 2016-03-13 13.02.49Even with yearly eye visits, this last year we learned that Will was having trouble seeing when he was reading. You wouldn't think this is a big deal. However, when you can't see to read in third grade it effects a lot of things. His grades were lowered. They get graded on reading, and he was struggling there. He was struggling with reading comprehension. Well, come to find out, all of this had to do with the fact that he couldn't see! He spent so much time trying to figure out what he was reading that he gave up when it came time for comprehension or anything else. I have to tell you, if your child is struggling in school, definitely get them into the eye doctor! We had no idea. With only being eight, he didn't know he couldn't see either. Our eye doctor showed me what he was seeing and it was all blurry. Since we have adjusted his prescription, his reading scores and comprehension have gone up!

AC Lens offers award-winning customer service with same-day shipping on contacts, free returns within one year, free lenses with every glasses frame purchase and a help line. Both kids glasses came from the Picklez line. I have to tell you that I love that the lenses in the Picklez line are made of lightweight polycarbonate with anti-reflective, scratch resistant and UV protected coating. You don't have to pay extra for any of that! I also love that they offer fun and a unique variety of options for kids, from purple cat eye to green square frames, all at an affordable price with a 365 day return policy!

How often do you buy your kids glasses? What do you look for in their glasses?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of AC Lens. The opinions and text are all mine.
