State Farm Giveaway!

Go take a peak outside in your garage. Is it embarrassing? Is it everything you could hope it could be? I’m going to guess it’s not. I know mine isn’t. I think we are even storing mattresses in mine! I’d be embarrassed if any of you wanted to see my garage! State Farm knows our pain and wants to do something about it! (I know, how cool is that?)

If you are in Chicago (like I am), make sure you check out the Chicago Auto Show from February 11 – February 20, 2011, and explore the State Farm Garage! This will inspire car owners everywhere to transform their ordinary, cluttered garage into something that represents who they are and can call their own. At the State Farm Garage, you will also have the opportunity to enter the Garage Makeover Sweepstakes for a chance to win a brand new garage valued at $35,000. (Can you say dream garage?)  The garage will have fun activities for parents and kids – there are games and prizes – and there will also be an athlete appearance.

Now, I can’t do as good as $35,000, but I have arranged for 2 lucky winners to win (one winner wins the gas card, the other the Lowe’s card):

– (1) $50 gas card
– (1) $100 Lowe’s gift card

    Other than having a beautiful new shiny car in my garage (lol!), I'd love to make our garage more organized! Someway to maybe hang up the bikes, and put the balls & other toys somewhere neat. Hang up my hubby's tools & yard implements!

    I would add more cabinets, peg board, and hooks for hanging up larger objects. I would finish the inside with insulation and dry wall.

    I have accumulated a ton of clothes and household items to donate to our goodwill. I have scheduled a pickup twice but both times, a huge snow storm has stopped them from coming…. definately looking forward to spring!

    Since we have a upstairs in the garage and we live in maine and hte upstairs has pool table and fun stuff up there, we need insulation so we can make use of this space during the winter months

    We have a manual garage door right now, and I'd love to get an electric opener put in. I'd also love some wall storage for tools, sports equipment, and stuff… instead of the piles of junk we have in there now.

    I’d like to change that the roof is just tiles laid on slats… not at all air tight or dust proof – my garage is so dirty because of that! And, of course, I want more tools!

    Oh goodness! My garage is one big MESS! The only thing that could help it is organization. I lack the basics, though, like shelving and containers – that's why everything is topsy turvy!

    Can I still be considered? I don't have a garage, so what I would like to change is that I would LOVE a garage. We should be moving into a house in the next year so in mind it will be big enough for at least two cars, a workbench and LOTS of storage.

    We have a carport that is open on all 3 sides when the wind blows sand and leaves come in and when the weather changes the floor sweats not to mention that the whole world can see we are not home and that is why we got robbed but I digress I just would love to close it in..;)

    I'd like a whole new one. Ours is just falling apart and it is way too small with what we have to store. We are going to build a new one with an apt above it so we can knock down our house and start that over too!

    What I would change about my garage is that I would actually have a garage!! That way I could get rid of my storage unit and not have a snow covered car in the wintertime!

    The light on my garagre door opener doesn't work, so if I come home late and am not fast sometimes I am left standing in the dark! Ugghhh!!!!

    If it didn't have a broken organ in it, and the rakes and shovels didn't fall of their nails, and the garage door opener worked, it would be ok. Some nicer storage would be amazing!

    I'd just like the garage to be bigger! My husband has to move his car out in order to get his motorcycle out in the summer. It would be nice if he had room to park the motorcycle and be able to get it out more easily when he wants.

    Our "garage" is only a garage in the academic sense – we keep a car in there. It's one of those tarp things and it desperately needs a new roof.

    What I would really love to change is to make the Garage insulated, since it brings in much cold air since it is under our home. It keeps our home much colder then a detatched garage. I would also love to have a place for my kids to hang out and play video games , listen to music, and hang out with there friends. Instead of just a place to store items….

    One thing I'd like to change is the weather stripping at the bottom of the garage door. They cut it to short when they installed it and it has allowed field mice to get in on occassion, spiders, and also wasps.
    I think I could go a better job then that at cutting the stripping the right length.
    I'd also love to have paint on the walls in the garage.
    I'm sure hubby would love some more guy like things about the garage, but I'd just love some shelving in there.

    Well, we don't have a garage, but oh how we need one! Right now all the things that would be in the garage are in a cupboard in my house or under the tiny space of the house. I would love to get a mini-shed or something to store our tools and car things in.

    we have an old garage door without a door opener for our car. so everytime i want to park in the garage i have to get out of the car, go into the garage and open it from there, get back in the car to drive it in to the garage. just a nusiance and it would be great to get a new garage door.

    We actually need to do a lot of work to convert an outside building into a garage. For starters, we'd need a garage door and a replacement window. Then I'd love to get some of those cool organizational kits that attached to the wall.

    I would like to have a big garage to put our two motorcycles in. I would also like to have fans installed to keep air circulating because we live at the beach and salt air and moisture makes the chrome rust on them. I want to keep them beautiful!

    The problem I have with my garage is that it's too small. Even if there was nothing in it, there's barely room for one car in there. I would LOVE to have a garage I could actually park in, especially in the winter!

    I would just like to HAVE a garage to change. 😉 Right now we only have a carport, so that means that though there's a roof over the cars, the front and the back are open to the elements, and there's really nowhere to store things since they could easily "walk off."
