Week In Review April 2006

Week in Review logo

Hey everyone, welcome to the week in review! The Week In Review is a great way to look back at all that happened. So, Tuesday brought me to a Lia Sophia party hosted by a friend. Honestly, browsing their jewelry online didn’t really catch my interest. But let me tell you, the moment I saw their pieces in person, it was a total game-changer – seriously cool stuff! I got so caught up in it that I decided to throw my Lia Sophia party in June. And guess what? They have this fantastic lifetime replacement guarantee. If you ever find yourself unhappy with a piece, whether it’s a change of heart or anything else, they’ll swap it out as long as you own it. This guarantee is a lifesaver for me, especially considering how Madison has a talent for accidentally causing mayhem to my nice things!

Speaking of Madison, this weekend, we’re back to yard work. It’s part of our Week In Review as we aim to remove our old swingset and the tarp underneath, hoping to grow grass there. Are any green thumbs out there with advice on how to make this work? We’ve already grabbed fertilizer and grass seed, although I was gunning for sod – but Bill wasn’t on board. Also, the grass was extremely long – nearly a foot tall – and we ended up with two full bags of clippings after mowing. And guess what? We had to snag a weed wacker too. That’s our next adventure!

Oh, we also bought Madison a bird feeder. She loves peering out the front window, chatting, and waving at the birds in the trees. We’re crossing our fingers that this will be a hit. It certainly made our Week In Review quite memorable!

And now for the exciting part: this morning, Madison surprised us. She pulled down her diaper and said, “Potty.” Bill scooped her up and dashed to the bathroom, and guess what? She went on the toilet! Cue the potty dance and all the excitement. Potty training has been a hit-and-miss situation with her, as she rarely lets us know when she needs to use the bathroom. Wet diapers don’t faze her in the least. So, if any of you have some potty training wisdom to share, we’re all ears!

Alright, time to get a move on. Wishing everyone an awesome weekend ahead!
