Speaking of Madison, this weekend, we’re back to yard work. We aim to remove our old swingset and the tarp underneath, hoping to grow grass there. Are any green thumbs out there with advice on how to make this work? We’ve already grabbed fertilizer and grass seed, although I was gunning for sod – but Bill wasn’t on board. Also, the grass was insanely long – like a foot tall – and we ended up with two whole bags of clippings after mowing. And guess what? We had to snag a weed wacker too. That’s our next adventure!
Oh, we also bought Madison a bird feeder. She loves peering out the front window, chatting, and waving at the birds in the trees. We’re crossing our fingers that this will be a hit.
And now for the really exciting part: this morning, Madison surprised us. She pulled down her diaper and said, “Potty.” Bill scooped her up and dashed to the bathroom, and guess what? She actually went on the toilet! Cue the potty dance and all the excitement. Potty training has been a hit-and-miss situation with her, as she rarely lets us know when she needs to go. Wet diapers don’t faze her one bit. So, if any of you have some potty training wisdom to share, we’re all ears!
