I am always on the lookout for ways to keep my house clean with the least amount of work (what mom isn’t). When I saw the Bissell Steam and Sweep, I knew I had to have this. Now, the first thing you have to realize is that this is not a vacuum. It has no suction. Instead, it has a brush inside that turns (with quite a bit of force). What I wanted this for was to pick up dog hair (which, no matter how much I sweep and/or vacuum, there always seems to be hair everywhere). Does it work? For my dog hair issues, yes, it does! As you can see in the picture above, it picked up the hair quite easily and quite a lot, too!
Now you can use the Bissell Steam & Sweep, just as a sweeper or also as a steamer also. There is a button on the handle that you press and hold down, and it will steam your floors also! My floors looked pretty clean, but as you can see above, they weren’t.
The Steam & Sweep is also pretty lightweight. Madison (my 7-year-old) can use it with very few issues. The pads (which are washable) just basically velcro on. I do recommend waiting a few minutes before removing the pad after using, though. It gets very hot when you are steam cleaning. The bin that holds the dirt is super easy to remove, too. You click the blue button with your foot and lift up. It’s that easy to remove!
I love my Bissell Steam and Sweep. It works great, my kids can use it, and it helps clean my house faster. What is there not to love?
My first vacuum cleaner was a Bissel. I bought it secondhand when I moved on my own back in the day. It was a sturdy little thing, I kept it for years while in college, then I gave it to my mom, she used it, and finally we freecycled it!!!
