How To Get Ready For The Summer Vibes

Summer Vibes

As the sun’s warmth intensifies and the days lengthen after a long winter, there’s an unmistakable signal that summer is just around the corner. The season of vibrant colors, outdoor adventures, and a carefree spirit beckons us to embrace the laid-back, sun-soaked vibes. If you’re eagerly anticipating the arrival of summer and wondering how to make the most of it, you’re in the right place for summer vibes.

In this post, we’ll explore tips and tricks to help you prepare for the ultimate summer experience, ensuring you’re well-prepared to soak up every moment of the sun-drenched season ahead. Let’s dive into the essentials and make this summer one for the books!

Plant A Garden

You want to start planting your garden now, so you are picking vegetables early in the summer!

We like to plant grape tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, jalapenos, red peppers, green peppers, banana peppers, lettuce, green beans, strawberries, and zucchini.

Prepare Your Yard

This is the time to clean up your yard from debris. You can also place flower pots and decorations back outside.

Open The Windows

Right now is the best time of year to open all your windows! This gets the stale air out of your house.  You can smell everybody grilling out, and it isn’t too hot.  The fresh air will remind you of the lovely warm days that summer will bring.  (Also, make sure you repair your screens so you don’t end up with a house full of bugs!)

Change Out Your Wardrobe

Put away that winter coat and long johns, and get the tank tops and swimsuits out!

Grill (Or Smoke)

Grill out!  Nothing reminds me of summer more than grilling out!  Sausage, brats, hamburger, chicken, or even asparagus!

We have a smoker now, so smoking a pork butt is so fantastic.

As the sun sets on this guide to embracing summer vibes, remember that the true essence of the season lies in cherishing the simple pleasures and creating lasting memories. Whether you find yourself basking in the glow of a beach sunset, savoring the flavors of a backyard barbecue, or embarking on spontaneous adventures with loved ones, the key is to embrace the joy that summer brings. So, let loose, feel the warmth on your skin, and revel in the summer vibes.

As we bid farewell to this guide, may your summer be filled with laughter, relaxation, and a sense of wonder that stays with you long after the last rays of sunlight fade. Here’s to a summer filled with unforgettable moments, awesome summer vibes, and the sweet satisfaction of fully immersing yourself in the vibrant tapestry of the warmest season. Cheers to summer!

  1. We’ve got out yard ready but that’s about it! We are planning to move in the summer or just after so we will be busy packing. I wish I could garden though I miss it!

  2. Robin (Masshole Mommy)

We only need to do one thing to get ready for summer in our house. Get our season beach parking pass.

  3. I’m not sure I’ve ever had iced tea, and I’m super interested in trying out sweet tea (or sweet iced tea?) now that I live in the USA. I get ready for summer by starting to eat a little lighter (less oven cooking, more fresh salads and fruits etc).

  4. We have a lot of yard and house work to do this summer. We have only just begun by redoing our living room! It’s just the beginning of what I hope will be a long and productive summer!

  5. We are getting ready by doing tons of yard work. My husband actually finished building my box garden last night so now I need to get out there and fill it with soil so I can plant all of my new veggies.

  6. Love all your tips. My favorite is to open all the windows! What a relief after being cooped up all winter long!

  7. I love the photo of your garden! I was going to plant a garden this year, but I never got around to it. I’m just looking forward to vacation. 🙂

  8. I love these tips! Since I live in Florida, my yard is pretty much the same all year around. I like to add cute Summer accents to make the area more bright and cheery so it at least looks different.

  9. We have had Tampico punch but I had no idea they made tea!!! We took a trip to South Carolina and now my 12 year old is hooked on tea. Ill have to look for this.

  11. Summer is here 365 days a year. lol. My lanai is always ready. Those are great ways and ideas to get summer off to a great start.

  12. I love grilling season. I really wish that I could open the windows more often. We live in TX and we usually don’t have many days of mild temperatures. Plus, when we do the pollen is usually super high and sets off my allergies. I love your ideas.

I planted some tomatoes in a planter on our porch. I’m hoping we get some nice tomatoes. They already sprouted. 🙂

  13. If it wasn’t so humid, I would love to open the windows instead of running the air. It’s already reaching 90 here. I didn’t realize now was the time to plant your garden. I’ll have to look into that.

  14. I’d love to be out and about gardening. I was hoping to do that this year, but I’ve got different plans I have to attend to now that won’t give me time to do it.

  15. Where I live we are actually having the perfect weather now! I’m actually dreading summer because weather gets up past 100 degrees here in July and August. Ugh! I’ve never had Tampico tea. Is it very sweet? Thanks for sharing!

  16. I can’t believe summer is right around the corner as well and I am more than excited. We love grilling out too, but that is just one of the many things that we look forward t o doing in the summer.

  17. I know! I can’t believe Summer is coming either. We have cooked out once and getting ready to plant again.

  18. These are all great tips for getting ready for summer 🙂 My grandparents have lots of fruit trees and I’m looking forward to having fresh limes, avocados, and jalapenos!

  19. Our family looks forward to those precious and fleeting summer months! We’ve got window open, grill roaring, and the fire pit ready for s’mores!

  20. The weather has been a bit chilly in Wisconsin this spring. I will be planting flowers this weekend. I am behind on yard work – time for me to catch up.

  21. We tidied up our garden last week and it really has made such a huge difference. I can’t wait for the flowers we planted to grow and to be able to open the windows again 🙂

  22. We have gotten pretty much everything summer ready, we got the garden done, we are still working on our flower beds, we got the outdoor furniture out, the pool is being prepared as we speak, and the only thing i am missing is the Tampico Tea!
