Movies Under The Stars In Your Backyard

The movie theater is so expensive nowadays. Wouldn't it be better to have a movie right in your backyard! Let me show you how to do it.

First, you need to get your hands on the stuff you need. We used aPortable pocket projector,Tailgater speaker, and the cords we needed to make it work.

Next, we decided on the movie we want to watch.

After that, we came up with a new snack ideas to go with the movie. As you can see, I had a little fun with this. The bunny tails are just marshmallows, forest trail mix is just trail mix my kids like, and then baby carrots. The kids inhaled the snacks while we were working on a few Bambi crafts.

We also did a little face painting. Thanks to my bestie JoAnna who has some great face painting skills!

Oh and the easy craft we did? We make antlers. You just take construction paper and trace your hands. Take another sheet of construction paper and make a headband (aff), then we connected the antler hands to the headband (aff)! It's that easy!

Then it was movie time!

Bill set up the projector and we waited till dark.

I originally bought a sheet to put out. However, we lucked out that our white privacy fence worked amazingly.

The kids had an absolute blast and we have several movie night now scheduled for all summer. Having a outdoor movie theater right in your backyard is the best!!!

I remember the movie Bambi when we were kids and it’s just a classic that it remains relevant until now. It would really be a fun moment for them to have a backyard movie with the props too.
