Samsung SL420

SL420_mediumIf you are in the market for a reasonably priced point and shoot camera, the Samsung SL420 is the camera you need. The camera is very easy to use and takes excellent photos. You don't have to be a professional photographer to get great quality photos. You can even fix your photos before you download them off the camera! Your pictures are great due to the 10.2 MP and the powerful optical zoom. The Perfect Portrait System includes a beauty shot which automatically retouches facial imperfections and the Smart Auto feature. You can choose what mode you want to take pictures, or you can let the camera choose the best mode for you! It is super easy to figure out this camera too. The definitely made it very easy to use and figure out the menus.

There were only a few things that I did not care for (disclosure: I have a touch screen point and shoot which costed twice as much as this camera). First, I wish it came with a book. That is a problem that I actually see with most cameras. My parents have dial up, so looking up a manual online is a no can do. For me, I have very little cupboard space, so I like only having to charge the battery. This camera requires the whole thing being plugged into the wall. I do like touch screen better personally, but the menus for this camera were extremely easy to navigate. My only other complaint is that without a memory card, I was only able to take 2 pictures. If you get this camera, make sure you buy a memory card with it!

Overall, I would recommend this camera. For this price point, it is an excellent camera. It does what it is suppose to do and does it quite easily.
