We’ve had a rough couple weeks here at the crazy house. It started mostly with my face infection. Mostly that is all cleared up. However, the sty that caused all this to begin with is still there. They are trying to avoid sending me to surgery, so I’m doing weekly follow-ups. Madison now has an eye that’s pink, so we are having to keep an eye on that. It’s not pink eye. Yet. I have to give her eye drops so I get to pin her down twice a day to do that. Good times. NOT.
One of the things I need to do or my eye will never heal is get my stress level down. That’s easier said than done. And that’s where all of you come in. I need some advice to destress. I’m sick of yelling at everybody all the time.
One step we did take towards this is that we had a dog trainer come yesterday. Honestly, that was the best money I think we’ve ever spent. I literally was having to quarantine me and kids in a different part of the house than Daisy. We did everything everybody told us to get her to stop jumping and nipping at the kids. She also was doing it to Bill and me. With me, if I told her no, she threw a growl in there. Needless to say, I was not pleased. We were at the point that something had to change or Daisy was going. It’s amazing what one hour with a dog trainer will do for you. He gave me some great tips and I had to buy a new collar.
Okay, readers — how do I destress? If it involves alcohol, please include the recipe. 🙂
You come to Green Bay and visit me!!!
Working on that! Its gonna be the weekend of the 14th or the 21st! I think.
So sorry about all the chaos in your life right now, girl! And I hope your eye/face get totally better soon! One thing that really lowers my stress level massively, when I take the time to do it (ack!), is taking a quiet time in the morning to start my day!
So sorry about all the chaos in your life right now, Lisa! And I hope your eye/face get totally better soon!
