How @Hefty Box Tops Help and Support Schools and Education

I'm actually not sure how many of you know that I am the Box Top Coordinator for my kids' school. Each Box Tops coupon is worth 10 cents and schools can earn up to $20,000 every year by clipping Box Tops from hundreds of participating products. It isn't a hard job; it is just a time consuming one. (Make sure you thank your kid's school Box Top Coordinator!)

Now, every school can use extra money, right? I know my kids tiny little school can. Even with having less than 200 kids, we have raised over $1000 every single year I have been a coordinator! I think I've been their coordinator for six years now!

That is $1000 we didn't have that gets to go towards new desks, after school care supplies, etc. Nowadays, every cent literally does count! Did you know that Hefty is the only trash bag that supports Box Tops for Education? (I did, but I am a coordinator!). I always make sure I buy products with the Box Top logo, so I can help earn money for my kids' school! There is always such a need for everything that I am glad I can help where I can. The best part is that I'm buying these products anyway, so I am not doing anything more besides clipping a label. (For the rest of you, you'd send it into your child's school. Since I'm the coordinator, I just keep my very own stash of them till I count them for collection.)

You need to check out this hilarious video from Hefty.

What has your children’s school never said they didn't need? (Basically, tell me what your school could use! Our school is 60 years old so there is SO much they could use besides basically school supplies, etc.)

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

We always save box tops for my kids school. The school has raised thousands of dollars from parents sending them in with the kids.

I LOVE box tops! I have a ton that I need to give to our local school. I keep forgetting it at home. With this kind of money just sitting here that can go towards stuff at my kiddos school I need to get them turned in. Thanks for the reminder!

  3. I love Box Tops. We’ve been collecting these for years. They’re a great way to help schools get the funding they need.

Box Tops is a great way to raise money for your school. We always save ours up in a container on the counter. When it is full we hand them in.

We are all about box tops in this household. My daughters school is having a pizza contest. Class with the most tops wins a pizza party!

We have a habit of saving box tops over the years & give it to the local school so they could raise something out of it which could be so helpful for them. I think it is the best way to give back to society & to the school where your kids study.

Wow this sounds like a brilliant program. Even though it’s time consuming, the meaning behind it is far more important.

  14. We are HUGE promoters of the box tops in our home and even co-workers contribute! The collection of those box tops absolutely helps our schools and they can make a tremendous difference in each child’s life. Thank you for this great post!

Oh my gosh, there have been so many fundraisers for SJ’s school that I completely forgot about the box tops! At least I’ll remember now thanks to this post.

I guess being the only trash bag brand that helps school is enough reason to switch brands. I hope they’re as strong as the one I am using! I’ll be trying it soon! 🙂

I need to remember to start collecting these. Our community could use the support!
