Jungle Colors

The Backyardigans did it again with Jungle Colors. They are able to take something that could be considered boring to children and make it exciting and interesting. They are learning without even realizing it! The cool thing about the Backyardigans is that their adventures really take place in their back yard, but through their imagination they able to go anywhere from the Outer Banks to the Jungle. As you can tell, this story takes place in the jungle. While reading about their adventures, they include the colors of some of the things they are doing. For example, they are walking over white stones and seeing a blue river. The pages are cardboard so it is a great book for babies and toddlers alike.

  1. I have to say…I'm 27 years old, and I love the Backyardigans. I watch it everytime I'm home and its on TV. I'm already recording every episode for when I have kids, so that they can watch it.

  2. Actually this made me think of a quote. It's something like: "All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better." Ralph Waldo Emerson

  3. The Backyardigans to my children were what the Bernstein Bears were to me. However, the Bernsteins were not nearly as clever. Move over Seasame Street, there's a new sheriff of learning in town.
