National Family Game Night

NFGN-Badge[3]Did you know today is National Family Game Night?  Tonight, families around the country will be playing games with one another to reconnect and reenergize.  Hasbro is sponsoring this as part of Turn Off Week.  It's a great way to remove ourselves from the electronic items in our lives that seem to take over.

Family game night invites families everywhere to turn off the outside world for a short time and create memories together,” said Belisa Anzalotti, Director of U.S. Marketing for Hasbro Games. “Hasbro has established National Family Game Night to designate one evening where American families are encouraged to play games and share in learning and laughter.

Not only can you reconnect with your family, it is a great cheap way to have fun.  You don't have to run out and buy a new game – use what you already have in your house.  For example, we will be playing either Candy Land or Chutes And Ladders here.  (Though I would love to play some Monopoly against the hubby!  I think in the 12 years we've been together, he's beaten me only like 3 (aff) times.  Then I wonder (aff) why he doesn't like that game).

How are you spending National Family Game Night?  What games do you plan on playing?
