Microsoft Office Live

As a person who works from home, I like products like Microsoft Office Live.  If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that I had a smashed laptop last week.  I won’t get into how long it took me to recover my data and reinstall on my new computer.  When you use products like Microsoft Office Live, you are able to save your data online, so you won’t have these problems.  You can access your documents from any computer.  No need for flash drives or hoping your backup program saved your data.  You can store up to 5GB or data.  As a person who works from home, I love that I can share it with anyone, and they can work with you on the document.  I also love that you can  Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint files from your Web browser.  I never know what programs my coworkers have, and this certainly solves that problem.  Best of all?  This is free.  Yes, I said free.  You can try it out, use it with your coworkers, and find that nothing out there matches this great program!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Microsoft Office Live. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. I also work for myself from home so I could use off-site storage. I just glanced at the website and bookmarked it to look in to. Thanks for the info.

  2. I've been using Microsoft Office Live recently for my home office until I outgrew it, however it has been indispensable. For anyone with primarily text-based files, or those files that aren't overly large due to heavy graphics, it is really useful.

For those that do deal with graphics heavy files, there are a variety of services that allow you to store files online, which can proved to be just as useful as Microsoft Office Live.
