Here Comes Peter Cottontail

Easter is one of those holidays that doesn’t have a lot of really good cartoons for the kids (though I was surprised to see a Charlie Brown Easter Show on tv last night!).  That is why I jumped at the chance for my kids to see Here Comes Peter Cottontail.  It is made with stop-motion animation which is not a style my kids see a lot of.  You can definitely tell that this was made a while ago which in my opinion made it better.  I think I enjoyed watching this as much as the kids.  We often sing “Here Come Peter Cottontail” at my house, and now my kids finally got to see who Peter Cottontail really is.  Will spent the movie yelling “bunny!”  He did like it though.  The story is that Peter Cottontail wants to be the chief Easter Bunny, and everyone in April Valley agrees…except for Evil Irontail. Peter must deliver more eggs than this archrival to earn the top spot and save Easter for children everywhere!

This movie definitely has an Easter/Spring feeling and great songs.  I recommend checking out this great Easter movie!
