Talk Like A Pirate Day Craft!

September is full of lots of fun. The kids should be back to school, but there is still time to have fun. Did you know that September 19th is Talk Like A Pirate Day! This year it falls on a Saturday, so we will be able to enjoy a full weekend of pirate goodness! Here are a few terms you definitely need to learn by then:

  • Ahoy! – “Hello!”
  • Aye! – “Yes!”
  • Aye aye! – “I'll get right on that”
  • Arrr! – This can mean lots of different things!

If you want to have even more fun, you can make some crafts to help you enjoy this silly fun holiday. My kids and some of their friends made some Emoji Pirates to help celebrate the day! The best part is that these were easily made with a few supplies I had around the house!

Here is our finished product! Check out Tampico‘s website for how to make an Emoji pirate for yourself!
