Nutrisystem Update – Week 2 #NSNation

Did you know that “Super Monday” is one of the most biggest diet decision days of the year? Did you know that Americans consumed an average of 1,200 calories during Sunday’s big game in snacks alone?

Four-time Super Bowl champion, Terry Bradshaw, who lost 32 pounds on Nutrisystem, says, “It makes perfect sense. You go for the chips, you go long for the guacamole and you just keep going. Then, you wake up the next day and think, ‘Man, I gotta do something I know will work. I need a winning game plan.” Football legend and Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino added, “This is the time of year I get the most questions about Nutrisystem. It’s a natural pivot coming out of what is invariably a high-calorie day for a lot of people.”

Every 1.5 seconds, men call or visit Nutrisystem on Super Monday. The most popular Nutrisystem item ordered by men on Super Monday is pasta with beef and for women, it’s the fudge graham bar.

I’m glad I made my decision to start Nutrisytem before today. :) I am two weeks into Nutrisystem and I have been doing well. Like last week, I really need to work on drinking more water and exercising more. That is actually my biggest struggle — finding time for me to exercise. This last week I even was able to go off my Nutrisystem menu and still lose weight. We had a Bingo and Pizza Night at Madison’s school and a pancake breakfast on Sunday (also at Madison’s school). These both happen once a year, so I didn’t want to miss them. However, I was able to figure out how to eat the foods at these events. I kept portion control at the forefront of my mind. I also checked the calorie counts of the items I knew we were going to have, so I knew what I would be allowed.

Besides the two meals I mentioned above, I was able to stick to my Nutrisystem meals and managed to lose 2.6 lbs! In a way, I wish it was more, but I’m going to take what I get. It took me more than overnight to add this weight, it will take me just as long to take it off.

PS. I also want to thank all of you who comment on my Nutrisystem posts. It really does mean a lot to me and helps keep me motivated. I would love to say I don’t need a cheerleading squad to help me along, but I do. :)
